I have had several tree jobs done for me over the past 12 years and Top Notch has been the best of all of them. After a big windstorm in March 2023, I had multiple tree servicers turn down the work I needed. Top Notch told me they had never had a job too tough for them. I was so glad I found these guys. They took care of both my jobs in a positively professional manner while I was away at a graduation ceremony in Richmond. They got rid of the stump and filled in the large hole left behind and leveled the ground off. They cut down the other tree so close to the ground that you couldn't tell there had been a tree there. They cleaned up after the job so well I didn't notice they had been here by glancing at my back lawn when I got home. Marvelous workers. Never bugged me for payment after I got home. I can't say enough great things about Robert and his crew! A Top Notch is aptly named because they ARE top notch! I have a very dead, tall mature oak tree close to house that was damaged in last year's storm. My greatest concerns were two specific large, dead limbs that hung precariously over roof and one over deck. The trunk was solid but all arms were dead and would never make it through the winter! Called them, got estimate same day, discussed options then set up time for work to be done! Robert is an extremely skilled, professional and cautious climber! No bucket trucks just pure skill! The whole crew worked well together to achieve the desired outcome, including cleanup! They were a great group of guys! Very professional team! Mike provided a concise and direct assessment of what we wanted done, was very prepared and efficient on-site, and his entire team was neat and orderly in their approach and execution of tree removal and cleanup. 2-14-23 Top Notch Tree Service came and trimmed up 7 trees . They topped out the tops on 5 . They also cut down a mature weeping cherry tree that had died and ground the stump of it . Did an excellent job trimming five trees damaged by the ice storm. The cost was very reasonable and they were able to get the job done quickly.
