The crew that did the installation was extremely professional...true craftsmen. It took several days to finish the project and everyday the area was cleaned up and their equipment laid to the side out of the way. Michael made frequent visits during the installation to make sure everything was going as planned and to answer any questions. It has been about a year now and the only problem we have had is a paver that sunk down into the sand because our daughter accidentally parked her car on the edge. We called to have it repaired and Michael came out personally and fixed it at no charge even tho it was our fault! Pedro was attentive, on time, and listened carefully, patiently making sure that we got all of the details under control (we are very picky). He answered all of our questions and saw to it that the job was done to specs. Their pricing was not cheap, but better than our other estimates. When they finished, a contractor doing work next-door, who had been watching them work, came over and gave Pedro his card, and took his, and complimented their work. My partner is a hardworking minority man who showed up and gave his full effort--working long hours in 98-degree heat to fulfill the job requirements as agreed upon. Not only was he underpaid for the labor he completed, but he was also told that his payment would be delayed until the following week, despite being clearly informed that he would be paid on Friday. That was the agreement, and for a working man with a family to support, that delay and lack of respect is more than just an inconvenience--it's disheartening and unjust. To treat any worker this way--especially someone who honored their end of the deal in extreme conditions--is unprofessional and exploitative. People deserve fair pay for fair work, and no one should be left waiting or wondering if they'll be compensated properly, especially after enduring such conditions. This experience reflects a serious lack of integrity and accountability that no company should tolerate. I sincerely hope that leadership and other partners considering working with this company take a hard look at how workers, especially minority employees, are being treated--because this is not just about money, it's about fairness, dignity, and basic human decency.
