It's been over a week since my job was completed with AW Martin. If I start from the beginning, I was pleased with the remediation lead (Ed) who came to my home and walked me through the process. He explained step-by-step what I couldn't expect from them in terms of repairing a bursted pipe and laying new floors; he stated that the goal was to leave my home as good as it was before or even better. Day, one of remediation approximately 4 to 5 men showed up at my home. Maybe one person spoke English, and the others began to toss my belongings in boxes with no bubble wrap no newspaper breaking several of my personal items and home decor. However, the pipe eventually got repaired and the floors redone, they painted, and I was happy with the end result. There were a few miscommunications, however AW Martin quickly resolved any issues. My take away is if you use this company document your discussions, visit the work site as much as possible and protect your personal belongings because they don't care about your things. At least the initial remediation team didn't; shout out to Christian's team for being very respectful and handling any issues as they came in. To Ed i'm very disappointed; our last conversation was that you had a final walk-through scheduled and I never heard from you again after I made the final payment. read more

I first submitted my information to this company through their website. I received no response to that. I then called them twice to give my information. Each time I called, they told me I would hear from somebody in two to three days. I didn't receive a reply until I left a negative review. By the time I heard from someone named Ed, I already had another company out to inspect the damage in my home. I told Ed I'd get back to him if it didn't work out with that company. That company didn't get back to me for me to pay them and provide the estimates. I decided to try submitting my information for a project on Yelp. I received interest from one company. That company didn't call when they said they would, so it seemed like it was going to fall through with them. I called back Ed to set up a day and time to come out to visit. I ended up hearing from the company that I found after submitting my project to Yelp, and it seemed like they were going to come through with the estimates I needed. I called Ed back to cancel our appointment because I didn't want him wasting his time coming if this other company was going to provide the estimates. This other company wasn't calling when they said they would, getting back to me days later when I wasn't sure if I was ever going to hear from them again. I decided to call Ed to reschedule another appointment. This time he told me his boss didn't want to be involved with providing estimates if they're going to be used in a lawsuit. He referred me to another company, which didn't respond. After getting the runaround from two other companies, Ed and AW Martin got rid of me by referring me to a company that also didn't want to get involved. If a company has a problem with their estimates being used in a lawsuit, that sends up a red flag for me. It's frustrating, but I'm quickly learning how to deal with contractors. Don't tell them what you intend to use their estimates for. Fortunately, I've found a fifth company that I believe is going to provide the estimates I need. I was honest with them and told them why I needed the estimates, and they're even willing to appear in court to back up those estimates for a fee. In that case, I'm sure I can trust them, and their estimates will help me greatly with my lawsuit. read more

We had some water damage from the upstairs bathroom that leaked into the kitchen area. Tony and sent over his very personable team to take photos and get the scope of work. They scheduled and arrived promptly to cut out the ceiling, repair, tape and plaster the area. Totally covered the entire kitchen each day. Water damage to upstairs and downstairs bathrooms due to leaking toilet. Water and mold remediation was completed. Subfloor and new flooring in upstairs bathroom anddownstairs bathroom ceiling removed to provide access for plumbers. Ceiling repaired and downstairs bathroom repainted. Workers were respectful of us as customers and of our home.Slight problem with her with responsiveness and punctuality but that was mostly due to Covid restrictions and the weather. While it took longer than we had previously anticipated we were very happy with the final results. read more

The quality of their work is A+ and they are responsive to any issues pretty quickly. The one thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars is that they are so popular you need to be prepared to wait a long while before they can schedule. If your in a hurry that might not work but, if not, you couldnt make a better choice for any home construction than A W Martin. read more
