We were able to hire a plumber of our choice but had to get an invoice and wait for approval before work could begin. If we went ahead with the work without approval, we would be on the hook for everything. Alex was extremely patient and understanding of our situation and while waiting for approval went above and beyond to stop the flooding and ensure no further flooding would occur until we got approval from the warranty company. He stayed until he was sure we were out of the woods. Needless to say, he fixed our sump pump issue, and we haven't had any since. Since then, we unfortunately have had other issues with our plumbing and without hesitation he is the first and only person we call. Alex has pulled our fat out of the fire now on MULTIPLE occasions. He has come on short notice, at the end of his day when I know he would normally be going home because he knew we were in a bad situation and once stayed until 10pm because he was determined to find the issue and resolve it. He was also our go to when we wanted a water softener and house filter installed. He explained in detail and demonstrated how the system works and told us to call if we had any further questions. Instead, she started making sarcastic remarks about pricing, cut me off repeatedly, and acted like I was inconveniencing her by asking basic scheduling questions. Then, in what felt like a spiteful tantrum, she confirmed my appointment for today--only to call back moments later, talk over me again, hang up on me mid-sentence, cancel the appointment, and send the technician home. All within the span of a few minutes. It's clear from other negative reviews that I'm not the first person to be treated this way by her. This level of customer hostility is unacceptable and seriously damaging to the business. If the owners care at all about their reputation, they need to address this person's behavior immediately. She's single-handedly driving customers away.

He arrived on time and spent time listening to some additional work that we had added to our list. He recommended recessing the shut-off valve into the wall so that when we pushed the refrigerator back into place it would not be up against the pipes and water lines. He spent over an hour with us going over our list and giving us good advice. I checked his work afterwards and it looks first rate. The bill was reasonable and much less than I expected to pay a Master Plumber. I also have been struggling with the toilet tank "guts" thanks to Martinsburg's hard water. I'd bought a new faucet and parts for the toilet, but after watching YT and assessing my space and my own abilities...chose to hire someone. Mark of Mountain View Plumbing gave me a quote based on labor/time for each of these. He's the owner/operator...something I like to support when I can. We scheduled for 9am, he called as he was arriving EARLY! Two hours and both problems fixed with parts I had bought to do it myself. He even fixed my tub/shower diverter stem I was starting to have issues with. We discussed a few hacks to get some more life out of the toilet as hard water is doing what it does. I then asked about my kitchen sink/drain and he verified that I can get RO and a disposal into that space. Now I just need to budget! As for his hourly rate, it is totally fine for skilled and licensed labor. He didn't nickel and dime for the little things he used (tape, etc). I appreciate that. I also know as a former business owner, he's covering travel costs, insurances, taxes, etc. with that rate. I will be using him for more projects as my own budget permits.
