So many vet clinics are pay now or no treatment, this place cares more about your pets than making a dollar. They are now my vet from now on. I've also worked at a boarding/daycare grooming facility that takes great care of their dogs. So I know what a well cared for facility and dog look like. Pet Palace is beyond filthy. It's old and deteriorating. Dogs don't get let out, or walked. No one is ever there to take care of the dogs. They leave them there in the cages with only just enough food and water to fill the bowls. Leaves the dogs to roll around in their own feces and urine in a cage. Not cared for, no human interaction, no other dog engagement or play. And this can cause destructive behaviors. You'd be better off leaving your dog in a familiar area at your home than at Pet Palace.

They volunteer to instruct because they are passionate about helping people and dogs learn. Critics should know that we are not a business, but rather an all volunteer club. We know that our registration procedures are clumsy and inefficient and are working to find a way to improve them. We know it's frustrating to have to wait to know if you are in a class. Again, we are all volunteers here. Nobody is getting paid. Most of our classes are FULL every single session, usually with wait lists. We do not always have an instructor to offer another class. We offer puppy and home companion classes as part of our mission and are proud when we see teams achieve success and earn their Canine Good Citizen certificate. We love to see them move on to more advanced classes and become members themselves. There are other places in town that can help with basic training for pet dogs, but we are one of the best. We are also one of the few places that offer classes for people who want to become more immersed in dog sports and/or competition.
