Perhaps my review is inflated by my bad experience at a vet just east down the road (Meadows), but this place offers the kind of service I've grown to expect from a good veterinarian. They take appointments, which is nice for us since our dogs get overly excited at the sight of other animals in the waiting room. The vet, Dr. Becky, was very caring and sweet to our dog. She not only looked at his problem foot, but also examined him entirely. She quickly diagnosed the problem. The office fee is $40, but trust me, the visit felt worth the price. When you get a thorough vet like her, you will rarely be coming back in a few days later because she missed something. The assistant called the next day to see how things were going, which is always nice so you can ask follow-up questions. We plan to board both of our dogs here over labor day weekend, so I'll update the review then to give information about that experience. If you're worried about the drive out here from Champaign, don't be. There is no traffic or stoplights, and the speed limit is about 50, 55 mph. You'll get there in no time. read more

I just started bringing my three dogs here. They're great!! Very thorough!! Dr Revis Wheeler is a UofI grad and is so friendly. Her staff follows up the next day to see how your pet is. I boarded my eldest dog here after she had surgery at the UofI. We were in Chicago for the day, and she needed medication and constant monitoring. They brought her in and she just lounged out in the sun all day --- they made sure she got her meds on time and walked her out to potty (she's on an exercise restriction). WHen I came to pick her up, she was happy and Dr. Wheeler had checked out her incision site to make sure everything was looking great! And boarding was only $20 for the day!! So glad that they're in Mahomet!!! read more

We highly trust the staff at Creature Comforts! We drive over 45 miles to take our dog there for boarding. We feel comfortable leaving our pet there with the capable staff. They also offer nature walks, which we like knowing our pet is getting exercise. The prices are affordable. We highly recommend. read more

I have been bringing my Papillon dog, Molly, to Creature Comforts for several years now. Dr. Revis Wheeler is a kind and caring veterinarian. She takes time with us when we see her to be sure exam is done when we bring Molly in for any concern and she addresses any questions I have at that time. They are careful with Molly and thorough. They follow up on visits. Molly enjoys being there and runs right up to the staff wagging her tail. I like to be able to board her and groom her with people she is used to when we need those services. The fees are what I would expect of quality care and there is good repoire among staff, vet and me. I highly recommend Creature Comforts as a great place to take your pet. read more

I do not recommend this clinic at all. Although the clinic itself (facilities) is fine, the veterinarian there (Dr. Wheeler) is incredibly unprofessional. Several years back, I elected not to put my very young puppy through a dangerous surgery (a surgery that could easily wait several months, so my puppy could grow). Dr. Wheeler felt this was the wrong decision and actually threatened my spouse. I called her on it and she admitted that she was unprofessional and that threatening my wife was wrong, but this has caused us to stay as far away as possible from this unprofessional clinic. read more

Dr Revis was able to perform a spay on our giant breed dog that many others I contacted would not do since she was over 50lbs. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made sure to follow up with us after surgery to make sure everything was going well at home. They were great with our big girl. read more

This business is a bad neighbor! They allow the precious pets they are paid to board and care for to bark and howl all evening and night long! I am concerned about how well they care for their charges when they are so unhappy they howl continuously.... when the owners have been contacted about their unhappy charges, they ignore the concerns, and remind the concerned that sending someone out for the night or making changes to the facility will cut into profits. I was taking my cat to creature comforts when Dr. Wheeler diagnosed her with cancer. Even though she told me that there was nothing we could do and she didn't have much time left the vet was very persistent in trying to get me to have a dental cleaning done. She showed me x-rays that were supposedly my cats but when I showed them to the university of Illinois animal hospital they said that the x-rays were not those of my cat. Why on earth would a vet do this??? I have since talked to several other people who had problems with this clinic and I will never ever take an animal there again read more

Our 1 1/2 year old cats have pretty severe food allergies which have resulted in chronic ear infections. It has been very frustrating for us and Dr. Revis-Wheeler has been very supportive throughout this whole process. She has done a lot of research and has suggested different food options as well as provided great care for the infections. We could not have done this without her. Dr. Revis-Wheeler and her staff are always on top of things. They follow up with us and ask how the girls are doing. We wouldn't trust our cats care with anyone else.
