Honestly I don't even want to give my experience 1 star. Order a beautiful bouquet of flowers for a family member's bday. Got a message on day of, that I didn't get until later, that she didn't have any of the roses in the original and asked if she could switch it out. I called and she said since I hadn't called back she went ahead and made the switch. I said okay. Later I heard from the family member that she liked the flowers... and they sent me a pic of them. What she got and what I ordered were nothing alike. So so disappointed... called and asked for my money back and only got a call back that she was busy and never heard from again. read more

I had two main issues with A Wild Orchid Florist. I placed my order over their website on the Friday before Labor Day for delivery on Labor Day (a Monday). My credit card was promptly charged and I received a confirmation email stating delivery would be on Monday. Monday comes and Monday goes, but no flowers are delivered. I leave a voicemail Monday evening and call again on Tuesday. Turns out that they are closed on Labor Day. Gee, thanks. My second issue was with the actual flowers that I ordered. While they did look very pretty and my fiancee did love them, many of the flowers were wilted. That's really not the sort of quality I would expect from a local florist. I wouldn't recommend these guys, but if you do decide to order flowers through them, make sure you call and place your order. read more

Just learned about Coffee Reata so I haven't tried more than a mocha, but it was superb enough for me to return the next day (today) for another :-) Definitely better than Starbucks. They use a legitimate Ghirardelli cocoa powder instead of some cheap HFCS syrup (as most places use) which made me very happy, as well as Avoca coffee beans (an excellent local roaster). Reata has a full coffee menu and apparently some food-stuffs (along with some lovely looking chocolate to choose from) so I'll definitely be back. Service was excellent, especially today as they had just closed as I pulled up. The owner insisted on heading back in to make me my drink despite literally having just gotten into his truck to leave. Can't argue with that kind of commitment and kindness. A bit of clarification on their hours and location: Coffee Reata is in the same building (and apparently ownership) as the Florist and monument store on the I-20 east-bound access road at the Mikus Rd exit, right behind the First Financial Bank. So if either other business stays open late for some reason you can apparently get your coffee outside of 'normal' hours too. read more

I have used Wild Orchid in the past in other cities and have been very impressed. I ordered a modern bouquet for my son's grandmother and she received a cheap grocery store looking bouquet with carnations for $70!!!!!! nothing modern about it. I placed an order online through this company's website on a Friday for a Saturday delivery. I received a confirmation email with an order number. THREE DAYS LATER, on TUESDAY, my order had not been delivered and the florist and so I call the florist. They did not call or contact me. While the florist said they had called the credit card billing address phone number (only number option allowed to enter for the order), to tell me she did not have in stock what was on her website. She had my email address as well. She made ONE attempt to call me the day of the scheduled delivery to the credit card billing phone #. NO EMAIL and no other phone attempts, even 3 days after when the delivery was confirmed for by the florist. (The credit card billing phone # does not reach me directly.) Once I called the florist because I noticed they had not charged my CC for the order is when I found out all of this. I was extremely disappointed. I asked why wouldn't she have emailed me, especially considering that is the way the order was placed and confirmed, all online. her response, "I don't email." Like tough luck. This is a business in 2020 with online ordering! The order and confirmation was all via online, and the owner of this florist simply "doesn't email," and no apology offered whatsoever, but the customer's fault I can't be reached through the CC billing phone number. So, 3 days later obviously the order had never been processed, charged or delivered, and she didn't even have the product in stock. And then the florist charged me a $10 cancellation fee the day after I called to sort all this out and cancel the order. I called to tell her the $10 cancellation fee needs to be refunded. The reason the order was canceled is because the order was never processed, charged or delivered and she didn't even have it in stock. She refused to blame me and refused to refund the $10 cancellation fee. I told her this was very poor business practices and she responded telling me she's been in business 20 years and her way of doing things has been very successful. Never once apologized throughout, nor did she have any concern the original flower delivery was never completed to the recipient. Stopped by on a Saturday and saw a group of folks outside. Walked up and asked the group if the coffee shop was open. Turns out it was the proprietor who happily invited us inside and crafted a couple of yummy drinks. And the shop had closed hours earlier! Very thoughtful and friendly and we'll definitely be back. I had enough with the 1 800 flower guys and thought I would try a local place to send flowers to my mom for teachers week and mothers day. I work out of town and the folks at Wild Orchid Flowers couldn't make it any easier to do business with. It only took me a few minutes on the phone and everything was delivered as promised. The most awful experience ever with a florist! I attempted to place an order 4 times on the mobile sight, but it could not be completed. My fifth attempt was on a PC and was completed. This was at approximately at 8:30pm. I would have attempted this earlier if I was able to access a PC before this. But seeing as it was only 8:30pm, I was sure my order would be delivered at least sometime before 2:30pm the next day as requested. The next day, I got a call at 10:00am telling me that my order would not be delivered. I was told that I had put my order in too late and that it had just printed out and that they couldn't deliver it because I had just made the order that morning. I explained that I had actually made the order the night before. I was told it didn't matter because it had printed out at 7 something AM. Well moments before that I was told it had just printed out. So which one is it? I finally said never mind, although this delivery was very important. My only child was to receive these at school, I just wanted her to feel special for Valentine's. A few moments after hanging up, I started thinking, well even though I'm at work, I could have someone pick them up for me and take them to my daughters school. So I called the florist back and let them know I could have someone pick the flowers up. I was then informed that they are not actually located in Arlington. I had only placed an order with them because they were located in Arlington. The website clearly states "A Wild Orchid Florist in Arlington, TX specializes in the following flowers and gift arrangements" and also supplies customers with an Arlington address. Come to find out they are located in Willow Park, Tx. Which I quickly found out is on the other side of Fort Worth, just before Weatherford. Well I really wanted this beautiful arrangement for my daughter, so I agreed to have someone pick the flowers up. I asked if I could get a discount, considering this mix up was not my fault. I was told no. Apparently it didn't matter to them. Just to inform, I was at work this entire time and was put on hold for a very long time. I do not work a desk job, and do not have time to deal with the kind of ignorance I was dealing with regarding this order. But still, like I said I really wanted this certain arrangement I had seen on their website and so I agreed to pay the full price. The arrangement was picked up by a family member and delivered to my daughters school. I was happy at this point knowing at least she received what I had ordered. Well guess what!? She received a knock off version of what I ordered. And to top it off it was put in a plastic vase!!!!! What kind of florist uses plastic vases? I don't know if they assumed it didn't have to be a quality product because it was being received by a child or if their product is always this poor. I paid full price for a product that was worth only 25% of what I paid! Not only was the customer service HORRIBLE, so was the product. I am reporting this business to the better business bureau, so hopefully others can be aware before they get stuck with a $10 arrangement they paid much more for. I had an extremely disappointing experience with "A Wild Orchid" in Arlington. I can not attest to their service or product if you purchase in person, but they are very poor at managing their online presence and the Teleflora system of which they are a member. I strongly discourage anyone from ordering flowers online through this company. Like Daniel C. (below), I had 2 major problems with this company: Also like Daniel C, I ordered flowers the day before a holiday. On Dec 24, I placed an online order for delivery on Dec 26, for my mother's birthday. Dec 26 was a weekday, and I figured they would be open on that day, since every other business is typically open to cash in on the post-Christmas sales rush. There was NO indication that they would be closed; the Teleflora web site processed my order and payment, and I was happy that my mom would be getting a beautiful $100+ orchid for her birthday. No flowers were delivered on mom's birthday, nor the next day, not the day after. In fact, no flowers ever arrived. I finally called A Wild Orchid and left a message. An employee eventually got back to me to tell me that the order had not been completed, asking "what did I want to do." She said they were closed over the holidays and did not understand why I was able to order online, because "they turned their computers off before they left." (It especially bothered me that, like Daniel C., I had to be the one to call and leave a message with them, rather than the store immediately calling me when they recognized the problem.) So, I told her I wanted my mom to get her flowers. Enter problem #2. She said they would not be able to deliver the ORCHIDS I had ordered because they do not keep those in stock (a reminder, the company's name is "A Wild Orchid"). The woman explained that the orchids were "part of Telefora" and they did not stock all of those particular flowers. Again, there was no indication of this on the web site. It showed the orchids as an equally available option among the many other bouquets shown and made no distinction between flowers that were part of Telefora vs. A Wild Orchid's current inventory. I told the woman on the phone this was not acceptable. She asked again what I wanted to do. I told her I wanted a bouquet comped and delivered for free because of all the problems. She was not empowered to make this decision and said she would have to get back to me. She called whatever manager she needed to and called me back, offering to comp the delivery fee ($12) but not the flowers. My card had not yet been charged, so I told her to cancel the order. As icing on the proverbial cake, A Wild Orchid had a the gall to send me a canned "Thank You" email showing their appreciation for my order. read more

I ordered a floral arrangement for my parents 40th wedding anniversary, I called to check on status of delivery b/c it never arrived; she said she sent the order to another florist because they ran out of red roses. The second day the order did not arrive so I called again and she could not tell me what happened and why the delay so I asked to just cancel the order. They also failed to give me a refund. BUYER BEWARE!!! We called to order flowers off of this biz website, what was delivered was NOTHING like what was ordered. The website promised a "BRIGHT AND VIBRANT ARRANGEMENT", with pink roses (lots of them) bright hot pink carnations and mini carnations and a variety of other beautiful flowers--WHAT WAS DELIVERED was drab, boring, and ready for a funeral home! On top of that, the owner never told us she would be substituting the flowers, and the arrangement was no where near as full as the pictures promised. My thoughts, if you have another option--steer clear of this florist! Not only were they rude when we approached them with pictures, but the only solution they would acquiesce to was picking up the flowers 3 days later. What kind of compromise is that? We have definitely learned our lesson on ordering flowers from an out of town florist. Eventually she received them... At checkout I was offered "Monstruck Chocolates" for a additional $10 so I added them... 3 pieces of Russel Stover chocolate (a $.50 cent value) was delivered... A great stop just off I-20 with super quick and easy on/off access, so it made a perfect road trip coffee stop. Comprehensive menu with some special latte creations (for example, using Irish cream and flavored syrups). Barista Davy was clearly trained in coffee and was an enthusiastic and interesting conversationalist. He made us a "Davy's Americano" and while I won't reveal the secret process and ingredients, I will say that this is by far one of the best coffees I've ever had-- rich flavor, full bodied, and got me buzzing and able to complete the rest of my drive! Highly recommend this place, I will definitely be stopping for my coffee fix every time I am in the area! read more

My sister wanted to make my birthday really nice by sending me flowers. When I got them the water was already dirty and the flowers didn't look like they are going to last. I sent my sister the picture, little did I know they were not even the flowers she ordered, she order a bright birthday arrangement with a rounded vase with a ribbon, I got a fall arrangement (different flowers completely), different (smaller vase), and no ribbon. My sister called immediately, she offered her a refund in exchange to come and pick the flowers back up from me at my office. When the lady came back, she made it seem like it was my sisters fault saying she was not happy, and they flowers are seasonal and could change. My sister said she could bring me new flower but they would look the same. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT?!? When you order something it should look somewhat like the picture not just whatever you have laying around in your shop, and the fact that you embarrass someone by coming back and take the flowers. I received roses for my anniversary on a Friday afternoon about 4:30. They were left on my desk for the weekend in a temperature controlled office and when I returned to work on Monday morning over half of the roses were wilted. I realize that roses should not last a long time but 2 days? in an office that is as close refridgeration as possible? When I called to talk to the florist they did not offer anything. I used this florist to order flowers for a co worker in the hospital. I should have know to call some where else when over the phone the lady who said she was the owner didn't really do the pictures on the website that she didn't have those flowers and she said she would make something very nice and to let her choose the flowers! BIG MISTAKE!!! The flowers that were taken to the hospital were so awful and embarrassing ! I went the day after they were delivered to see my friend and the flowers were wilted and pitifull looking I spent $75.00 and the arrangement looked like it was picked up from a grocery store!
