I called the shop 3 times I'm hopes that it would forward to a cell phone. After waiting for 20 minutes I left and found a shop a block away. As I am waiting to get my hair done at the new shop, Oury calls me and ask if I can return. No I cannot but thanks. This shop is a terrible waste of time and I will not be returning.

But, I sat outside and called to see if there was an immediate opening, because I hate waiting. There was no wait and Linda started on my hair immediately (I was the only client). I was skeptical at first because she used the restroom and I'm not certain she washed her hands (still not sure I wanted to know). Then the comb she wanted to use looked ancient with a lot of missing teeth so I asked her to use mine. I tried to ignore my germaphobic condition, which was on high alert as her hands were really dry and she came out of the restroom still fastening her pants. At any rate, for the time and service I received I gave four stars. Some braids are kind of twisted up the wrong way, then she kept cutting the raggedly ends and almost snipped my whole braid. I'm also afraid because my edges are very thin and she goes "I would take this braid down now, but your hair may come out"...why? Overall, I guess the experience was cool. I'll return again, long as my hair doesn't come out after removing my braids in a month or so. It was also very dark in this shop, and then we all started chocking because the other girl who works there burned something in the microwave. Sort of a weird experience, but when you're desperate, I guess you tend to overlook some things and hope for the best!

I really like the pics that I saw of her work. I spoke with Blue and made an appointment for 10:00 a.m. I was text on Saturday morning by Blue asking if I could make it by 11, I agreed to the new time. I made it to Blue around 11:30 because I got lost. She then stood outside and met me. We went to the beauty supply across the street to purchase hair. She left me there to purchase and I met her back at the salon. When I walked in, I saw that Blue had another client in her chair with the top of her hair still being done. I was greeted by a lady named Jazmine, ( her assistant). I was told to sit in her seat for her to start my hair. ( the seat is a bar stool with no back.) Blue then says, " She'll do the back of your hair and I'll do the front". I thought that would be ok, so I agreed. As we round around to the end of the back of my hair, she's STILL doing the client that was there since 5 a.m. Its now about 6:30 p.m. She tells her assistant to just finish the rest of my hair because she's still not done. She then walked out of the shop to argue on the phone with the father of her child. I told her assistant that- "I'm a stylist as well and when I made my appointment, I should've been told that I wouldn't have my hair done by Blue, but she has an assistant that helps her". "I like my hair, but you should set your client up with what to expect." I let her assistant finish my hair and placed to hair strand décor. Which was 2 dollars a piece. My hair was 235.00 with the décor 239. I gave her 240. Fast forward to Sunday, one of my faux locs came out. Text Blue to have it fixed. Made it to her yesterday to have it placed. I walked into the shop, and she greets me soooo me rudely! She says, " you owe me 2 dollars. I then asked, "how do I owe you 2 dollars? I'm not a person that receive a service and not pay". Blue-" your hair décor"( which mind you came out the same day). "You didn't pay for them. " I then said " I gave you 240. Blue- says YES! My hair styles was 235. If the hair décor was 2 dollars a piece. That puts my total at 239. I gave you 240." Blue- well I don't know! You owe me 2 dollars and I'm not fixing your hair until I get it! I gave her 2 dollars in change because I didn't want to break my bigger bills. She then proceed to tell me that her assistant told her that on Saturday, that I was upset with my service. I told her that I wasn't upset with my service, I was upset with the lack of communication. She then starts to tell at me telling me that I should've been " women enough to say something". WOW! Professionalism is Key! Her Lack of communication and her regards for her clients is very under minded. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS STYLIST TO ANYONE!!!!!! SHE TALKS BAD ABOUT OTHER CLIENTS AND WORKS. She drinks while working as well! Do not go to her!!!! Period! You will regret it!!!

There was bondage glue all throughout my natural hair. She glued the extensions directly to my ponytail without any wrap or fabric to protect it. The glue also seeped through the cap she put on the bottom of my hair because she used liquid cap I'm guessing. I've had this style before with another stylist and didn't have this issue at all. It took me 6 hours to remove all of the glue carefully. Also the time estimation on her website is not accurate it took more than double that. Wouldn't recommend.
