Mary is always a warm welcoming face as you enter. The facility is clean and they have new equipment. All the nurses that helped me are patient, kind and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and helped me understand everything. Even though my particular case needed additional care, Alyssa gave me great recommendations as to where to go for that. Even after your baby is born, they still have your back. We have been provided with diapers, wipes and super cute clothing for our baby. I thought that was the most amazing thing he did! This place is great because Christine has all the resources that are needed for a successful birth journey for any couple or single mother out there. My partner and I clearly didn't plan our baby (this soon) as we are only 22 year olds and still want to see the world. But honestly, this has been the best experience for me and I'm glad that there are places like Birth and Beyond to help women through out these 9 months. Even after I shared that my referral and insurance was now squared away after multiple errors done by my insurance; information I shouldn't even have to clarify to a medical professional. I spent the entirety of the 6 minutes defending myself and my character instead of receiving any bit of useful information. I had to end the call with "Respectfully, I just need to know if you guys can help me with getting an ultrasound or not, because it sounds like you can't, and if that's the case I don't mind calling somewhere else". I got 6 minutes worth of disrespect and rude unprofessional behavior and it was absolutely disgusting. Whoever this was who picked up the phone at 11:52AM on February 2nd 2025 should be fired, and I could also say that if this is the owner then I hope the business gets shut down. All of the women working there, ESPECIALLY Michelle Kelly-- one of the best women in my life! I don't think she knows how much she's helped me through my worst times! When I first came to VPC, I was about 4 months pregnant, and it was at the old location in Dublin. The greatest time of my life, was a very challenging, depressing time of my life, and boy did they all help me through it. Everywhere from emotional support, to preparing to become a new mommy! It was amazing, I felt so loved, comfortable and welcome here. They offer all kind of support, everywhere from 1 on 1 emotional support, to providing an ultrasound. I believe most services are free but don't quote me- Check them out, again, they're amazing. I even was welcome there, and still felt very loved and comfortable post baby! First, they make you wait in a room with anti-abortion literature and posters about "reclaiming your future" with motherhood. There are no pamphlets about all the legal options, just fear-based information about abortion. I had a "consultation" with a woman who was not a licensed therapist or a medical professional. She was a "peer counselor" whose main goal seemed to be to talk me out of my decision. She asked incredibly invasive questions about my relationship and finances under the guise of "helping." She then pressured me into having an ultrasound performed by a volunteer. The ultrasound was the most manipulative part. She kept focusing on the screen, saying things like, "Look, there's your baby," and "See the heartbeat?" It felt like a performance designed to guilt-trip me, not a medical procedure. There was no discussion of my actual health or circumstances, just a heavy-handed emotional appeal. When I directly asked for a referral for an abortion clinic or information on the process, she became vague and said they "don't provide or refer for those services." She instead offered me a stack of diapers and a lecture on "parenting classes." This place is a wolf in sheep's clothing. They bait you with free pregnancy tests and a caring facade, but their only mission is to dissuade you from considering abortion. Located across from Dominican hospital, this agency provides prenatal care, clothing resources for babies, sometimes diapers , and free or sliding scale counseling to women and the families of women who may or may not be pregnant! I have personally known some of the volunteers who have given their time here In service to women in red and I know they have helped support and changed women's lives. If you need help with your pregnancy or just need counseling this is the place to go!
