My garage door suddenly started only going in the down direction and jamming the door down so far that the rail bowed. I called A1 and the initial service rep said it needed to be replaced, but I wondered if it was repairable. They sent a more experienced tech who opened it up and found a gear that was missing a tooth so that the system was losing track of where the trolley was. I bought a system at Lowe's and they came back and installed it the next day, deducting my initial charge from the cost. They did an excellent job and I feel confident that it will be my last one. A1 came over yesterday to replace our Garage door cables. Everything seemed to be working until the morning came around. We were able to open the garage with no issue but when putting it back down, 3 wheels came off the track and our garage door wouldn't close. It's now hanging by 2 wheels and we are unable to connect with anyone. Weve called the main line and also the owners cell phone. Spring broke on my single spring door garage and end up not being able to lift the gate manually to get my car out. Naji came a few hours after I called him and earlier than projected, with a call ahead of course, and he replaced the spring within 30 minutes. After so graciously backing into my garage door and tearing it off the rails, I called around for an estimate. I called A1 and they were able to get someone to my house within 5 hours. They came in $60 cheaper than another estimate and gave me several options in price. There wasn't a hard sell, just a suggestion of which style was affordable and good quality. They were able to schedule the repair two days later. He arrived on time, worked quickly and showed me all of the work completed. One thing they offered in addition to the replacement, they framed the outside of the door with the same material as the door, which was something not offered by the other company. Naji was great! My problem was a broken spring, which he replaced more quickly than I expected, and for a very reasonable price. A month later, the door began making a loud squeal when opening. I called him, he returned the next day, redid the spring and found two mistakes the original installer made (30 years ago) in alignment. After correcting the alignment, now it works better than ever.
