When my husband insisted that the price quoted ($2700 door only+install, no opener or add-ons) was too high, he got quite angry and insisted that we wouldn't be able to get a better price anywhere. After we insisted, he went out to his car to "talk to his boss" and then stormed back inside to grab his computer, saying "yeah, we're out, I'm not gonna take that kind of cut" and was ranting about "why did you even call me out if you thought you were getting a better price from someone else". Even though he had been so kind and personable up until that point, when he sensed the deal might not go through, he got borderline aggressive and made me very uncomfortable. Shady, aggressive, tactics overall. I'm glad we passed because we got a double steel door for $700 less from another contractor. I wouldn't give them my business if they were the last garage door installer in the city.

Doing a quick internet search it appeared that a spring had broken. I called several different repair services and was quoted $1200+ for the repair. I finally called CD Doors in Westerville and spoke to Chris. He asked that I text pictures of my door and the spring mechanism, made a quick diagnosis and quoted me a price 1/2 of what other repair services offered. Chris arrived first thing the next morning, thoroughly explained and showed me the problem and repair, then got to work. In less than an hour he replaced the faulty spring and lubed all of the hinges on the garage door, the spring mechanism and pulley track.

I called Chris that day and he talked me through what to do and expect and gave me the option for emergency service or regular service. We decided to wait and scheduled him for Monday. He called two jobs ahead to let me know his timing and then texted when he was on his way. When he got here, he explained everything and gave me options for spring replacements and even showed me the differences between them. The work went quickly and then he showed me how to maintain my door properly and we discussed repairs I could do myself. Then we tested everything and he made adjustments to the door to make sure it worked perfectly. I highly recommend calling Chris with all of your garage door needs.

But because of his quality and value, there is great demand for his services, so it did take a couple weeks to finally get an appropriate time to actually replace the garage door. So I wouldn't mind paying 25-50% more (especially since they offer financing) if he did so choose for a faster service. He even threw in a free lock for the garage. It wasn't an emergency to me, so that probably colors my review. But seriously, dude, you can probably raise your prices just a bit more, and I think most people would be happy.

He gave a reasonable price for just the head unit and we scheduled the work. 1st appointment - had to re-schedule as they couldn't make it. 2nd appointment - finally made it out and looked at the unit and said what he had wouldn't work and said he would need to get pricing from his manufacturer for whole new setup. I mentioned that we talked about it being a larger garage door before he even came out. Why didn't he tell me up front that what he had in his warehouse wouldn't work? It's been days and haven't heard from him. I guess if he can't sell you an old stock warehouse garage door opener, then he wants nothing to do with you. I feel like this was a bait and switch situation as the other companies were more expensive. I've texted him several times and have not heard back. I'm checking the sensors. Making sure nothing is blocking it in my crowded garage. Nada. So my girlfriend hits the button while I open it - and she comes over and looks up - the spring is broke! Preparing for the worst - I called, they quoted me less than I was expecting, and then said they'd be here _the next day!_ (No cars in the garage - this was NOT an emergency - it'd be a week with no garage door!) They called shortly before the window closed on their estimate (still counts!
