They let me know they would pay more and I took them up on their offer. I went into carmax and started their process, it took about 45 minutes and the salesman really beat me up I felt like, hammered me about the cars miles, the condition, error codes etc.. The offer was low and after the barrage I told him let me go across the street and see what they offer. I drove literally across the street and met Mark and started the cash money process. After about 15 minutes he was back and said he liked the car and offered me $200 over the Carmax price, I told him another $200 and we had a deal and we shook on it and I couldnt have been happier. That jump across the street yielded me another 400$ and I got the check that day. Mark helped me unload my trunk and clean out the car AND drove me back home. I cant say enough nice things about CMC. The excuse? They "rounded," used a 21-day payoff instead of the standard 15, and passed on loan company fees to the seller. None of this was disclosed up front. Also, their hours are listed wrong--they close at 7, not the time posted online or on the door. I found that out the hard way. Bottom line: Do your own math, double-check everything, and be ready to call out the BS (not Gus--he's solid). Personally, I'd recommend going across the street to from carmax instead.

The webuyanycar guy, after looking it over, took it for a test ride and when he came back, he told us that the car "just quit running" and that he had to pull over, and that the oil light and the battery light came on and he couldn't get it started again and when it did start, it made an awful noise. He said he was fearful that my daughter shouldn't drive it again. After spending a half hour supposedly "talking with headquarters" to determine what he thought was wrong with the car, he then offered her $500 and said she probably had a "bad flywheel". He did some hocus-pocus with a YouTube video to try to convince us of the source of the sound he said he heard. He said $500 was the best he could do. Mind you, this car had never given her any problem. The only reason she was selling it was because she was pregnant and needed a bigger car for her growing family. While waiting, I drove it again and, of course, it drove perfectly. And it continued to do so until we left and, a few days later, went to Carvana and got a respectable cash price for the car. Go here at your own risk. If you get the price you want, great. If a young fast-talking guy tells you your car suddenly has some mysterious problem and isn't worth what you know it should be, just walk away and go elsewhere.
