We rented a chipper shredder. Problem 1- they did not have the correct attachment to hook up the trailer lights to our 2025 GMC. Problem 2: when we tried to start it the battery was completely dead. Problem 3: I called and spent 20 minutes waiting for them to tell me I will need to return it but they are about to close. Problem 4: I told her we would bring it "right now" if someone would wait 10 minutes. Her response was "no, all my employees have plans after work". "You can drop it off but we don't open until Monday and you will be liable for it" As I told her on the phone before she hung up on me, I will not be liable for what is on their property. This is probably one of the worst customer service interactions with a company I have experienced. I wasted two hours of my time and gas there and back twice for absolutely nothing due to no fault of our own. Clearly they don't check their equipment before sending it out. Clearly a company that does not care about good quality service or return customers. I definitely will not give them my future business. There are other options. read more

A1 was on time and easy to work with over the phone. They delivered portable toilets in the winter for a big ski race and set them as agreed in two pre-determined locations based off an emailed map. They picked them up after, on their schedule, and did not charge for the days between racing and pick up - hopefully making for more efficiency on their end. I did not catch that I had to order hand sanitizer separately, as we completed the transaction on the phone. Heads up to request that if you would like it. :-) read more

This company does not respond nor do their job. There have been several calls made to A1 Rentals due to the back up of waste and nothing has been done. The last service date was 11 days ago. The representative on the phone needs some serious customer service training as she was rude and not helpful at all. The flys and smell around the area is very pungent and unsanitary as there are numerous flys and maggots. I would not recommend to anyone. Shop elsewhere! read more

I have used this company before many times & they have been great to work with. However, this past Labor Day weekend, I had a fence project I need to get done. Was told I could have the skid steer & post pounder attachment for a day & 1/2 rental, over the holiday weekend, & not need returned until Tuesday morning, because there wouldn't be anyone in the office over the holiday weekend. This was great, except when they dropped it off, the metal post guide, that keeps posts under the pounding plate was broke on one side & cracked on the other. After 10 posts this post guide broke completely in half, make the pounder unsafe to use. Had to spent Saturday trying to find someone who was willing to weld it back together, "During a Holiday Weekend," loosing a whole day of pounding posts &$250. Had to go rent a post hole digger to keep me on schedule until part was fixed. Was told they would give me $189 back of the $605 I paid to rent over the Holiday weekend. I felt the least they could have done is refund me back what it cost me to have the part fixed, so I could continue using it. Would I use them again? Yes! If I couldn't find what I needed elsewhere. read more

I went to go rent an auger and unfortunately there's only a few places that this can be done. I had already had a bad experience with A1 on my previous visit, but I thought I'd give him another chance. It ended up that the auger did not work so I called and they told me that I could just fix it myself or bring it back. I explained to them that that's not as simple as it sounds as I was on a job that was on a time restraint and needed to get it done. I figured that they would test equipment before renting it so they know it actually works. Well really tick me off though. Was that when I was explaining being convenience that was the girl at the front desk instead of showing any sympathy or understanding just said well s*** happens. My job literally hit the ground because I have dealt with some pretty poor customer service before but never in my life. Have I been told something like that and response to a problem that was not mine. read more

I would give 5 stars for affordability and understanding/patience from the company when it comes to payments. But I'm knocking off one star because it's very dark inside, the hours are awful (my husband works the same hours that this place is open, so I'm always stuck doing all of the heavy lifting alone) and there has been 2 dead mice and mice droppings in our unit over the 3 years we've been there. Overall, we are not discouraged enough to seek out other options. We like the front desk people. We like to support local/small businesses. read more

This place is amazing. They always have all the tools I need and they always have great customer service. They never over charge. It is a simple process that keeps us coming for more rentals. I am glad they are in Rexburg so I don't have to go all the way to Idaho Falls! read more

I went in there today to rent a cotton candy machine. I was told because they were closed on Monday for Memorial Day that I would have to pay an extra half day rental for the item. I was kind of annoyed with because it just didn't seem fair that if they were closed that I would have to pay extra. So I was talking to the lady at front who was very nice when the owner decided to butt in and start talking to me like a child letting me know that's just the way it is that I would have the machine for 3 days and I should just be happy that they only decided to charge a 1/2 day extra. With the attitude that he gave me I decided that they didn't need to have any of my money and I left. I have gone here several times before to rent things but never had to deal with the owner. I am very dissatisfied and vow to never spend any money at this location ever again. I definitely got the feeling he was more concerned about his $17.50 then he was about the customer standing in front of him. read more
