Beware of their "locate & dig" fee. Eight years ago Parker's charged a reasonable $350 to pump the septic tank at my cabin. When the technician arrived it took the two of us no more than 5 minutes to find the access lid which was buried under a few inches of sod. This year Parker's charged $705 for the same job. $220 of which was just to find the same access lid. I wasn't there because of a medical issue but I did explain to the technician where the lid was in a fairly defined area. I doubt it took more than 10 minutes to locate & dig. That would be $1,320/hr. Even if it took half an hour (no way) that's $440/hr. Sleep well "family owned business"! read more
