Ok,drove in approximately​ at 08:00. Told the employee my cars issue(check engine light was on when I departed my apartment at 04:45). Sat in the waiting room using their computer. My car was driven into the garage at 08:20. At 08:50 the service manager informed me that there was some misfiring going on and they would switch some wires to see if that would solve it,or else have to replace the set of spark plugs. At 09:00 the job was completed with a test-drive and, after a diagnostic computer check, I payed $44.80 and was out the door by 9:10. Very pleased - as this is (at least)the 3rd time I've received good service here. read more

This company is a joke. $70 for an oil change and $40 for an air filter is absurd. Especially when they don't tell you the price prior to performing these services. I was told halfway through about the air filter and even then was hesitant because it was priced too high. Was told at checkout that my total would be $110 because the oil change was $70 due to being a synthetic blend. I have NEVER paid more than $25 on an oil change for my Ford Mustang regardless of it being a high mileage car. Had I known they were going to charge $70 for an oil change I wouldn't have sat for over an hour and a half waiting for this 30min job to be done! When I spoke with the manager, Jay, he was VERY condescending as if a female couldn't possibly know about her own vehicle. So in order for me to get some kind of refund, I have to "prove" I paid for previous oil changes at the price I mentioned, by bringing my receipts back up to the building for him to review. Poor customer service! $80 for parts, $30 for labor. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED! This is a scam! read more

I will not be back. I recommend you look elsewhere for service. My wife took our Jetta TDI in for an oil change. She was told that she had to use synthetic oil which is incorrect. She was told given this information only because synthetic oil is a more expensive service. As my wife left the parking lot she heard a loud dragging sound emanating from under the car. The service tech had failed to reattach the plastic splash shield in place underneath the car with screws. When confronted, the claim was that the splash shield had never been screwed in place. That's not true. Friction is not enough to hold the shield in place. read more

This was my 2nd choice of AAA Car Center, I'd previously been a fan of the Center on Mansell Rd. I've been to this Center 3 times now and I'm sold! The waiting area is great, the guys at the front desk are very personable and friendly- needless to say, they also know their cars! They are good at explaining to the layperson what is going on with their vehicle. There's plentiful stuff to walk to if you get bored, or hungry, while waiting. Why only 4 stars? Here's my advice: please put the TV on a non cable news channel! Why add drama to our lives? (Couldn't find remote!) Also, when you're speaking with clients over the phone and trying to tell them about the work that their vehicle needs, you have to be detailed- go line item by line item, with the cost. I had to call back and ask for this b/c it wasn't provided. (I don't believe there was any malice or intention to deceive.) If possible, send the diagnostic results electronically so that customers can make informed decisions they can afford. You do want to get paid for your great work, right? Despite this, I'll still be back- this is my first choice of AAA Car Care Center now! read more

My left brake light broke, and I walked into the AAA center in East Cobb Marietta, GA ON Johnson ferry rd. Jay who was the manager was pretty busy with a full cars in the garage. but unprompted he said, "let's go out an take a quick look." In a matter of minutes he tested and then gave me a new bulb. Just like that. Jay and AAA were so helpful and just really pragmatic. Thank you guys so much for the excellent customer service!!! Another 5 rating. I got an oil change which was way over due to COVID and not needing to use my car. The change was quick. I was also notified that I had issues with my sensor. Toyota off 41 and AAA Lavista just couldn't figure out the issue. I was told multiple times from Lavista that there wasn't an issue. Toyota did a full diagnostic test and didn't find any issues. I plan only to go to the East Cobb location. They have a very friendly and competent staff. read more

These guys have always been very very helpful whenever I have needed to have any auto repairs. I have worked with both John and Gene on several occasions. Both of them are professional and knowledgeable. They are also willing to help get the price something close to reasonable. Since we have AAA we usually get a nice discount. And the quality of the work has always been excellent. John is always friendly and helpful. He does not condescend to my wife or daughter when they bring their vehicles as is often the case at repair shops. He is both courteous and respectful whenever they drop a vehicle by. Gene was very helpful to my daughter who needed some significant repairs done on her car. Rather than try to charge her for repairs that would not have been appropriate for a car of its age or condition he recommended that she trade it in on a new one. As a result she's now the owner of a "newsed" 2014 Jeep Wrangler. And she's proud as a peacock. I'm pleased to say I'll be taking my vehicles there for years to come. read more

It pains me to give this place such a poor rating (I have given very few on this site or any other), but bad experiences are what they are... I dropped my vehicle off to deal with an emissions issue as well as a temp gauge that was wildly fluctuating. No problem on the solenoid repair to fix the emissions problem, hence the two stars instead of one. They told me they had identified actual temperature issues necessitating a radiator replacement and while they were in there (previous mechanic had stated there were none, who knows...), a water pump that was showing signs of age and minor leakage. Ok, fine. Repairs were finished and I received a call that the temperature was "fixed" but that the gauge (you know, the reason why I was having them troubleshoot) was still showing its original condition. Uh... ok. So I go down there and talk to a manager (apologies, I forget his name) that tells me the gauge is NOT showing high any longer and that he personally had verified it. He walks me to my vehicle, turns the engine on and says basically "see, no longer high". Uh... ok. But as I previously told them, this doesn't happen until the engine is warm and you are stopped and idling. So I go for a ride with the mechanic and AMAZING, the gauge is STILL SHOWING THE ORIGINAL (failed) CONDITION. So we go back to the shop, I am suppressing the urge to make a scene (successfully, I might add). This same manager now tells me that he never actually test drove the vehicle to determine if the gauge was working. So, he goes on to tell me he wants me to be happy, so he can "make this right" by CHARGING ME TO SEND THE GAUGE TO A THIRD PARTY TO ACTUALLY FIX IT. Stunning display of customer service! You right a wrong by charging me to fix the problem I came in for! Oh my, how swell of you sir!! I declined this generous offer, paid (they gave me an extra 50 bucks off the over $700 in repairs that I can't even be sure were necessary at this point), and got the hell out of there. I am now headed to the dealership for a second opinion on the situation before I decide what my next steps are with this shop. I'm sure this is a fine shop for most things, I found the people to be mostly friendly and the solenoid issue was quickly diagnosed and fixed - but buyer beware, you have been warned. read more

Got a free oil change coupon a few months back and figured I'd let AAA change my oil. For over 20 years, I've performed every aspect of maintenance on my cars because I've discovered that a great many times auto repair people are: 1) thieves trying to sell you service you don't need or 2) Grossly under qualified to do even simple repairs. This repair shop falls into category 2. When I dropped my Jeep off, I gave very specific instructions on how to start it. The battery has a loose wire going to the starter relay, and if you giggle it, the Jeep starts. They had no problem starting the Jeep and getting it into their repair bay. About an hour after drop off I got a call from the mechanic performing the oil change. He said, "hey, you got a loose wire that we can replace". Without any hesitation I told him to leave the wire alone. I intentionally leave the wire loose because this Jeep sits for extended periods. If the wire is connected, it will drain the battery, and it's just easier to leave it loose...been like that for years with no issues. "Okay" was the reply from the AAA repairman. When I went to pick up the car I was told they went ahead and did the repair anyway. I was pretty mad they couldn't follow simple instructions, and the manager giving my keys back was angry because he felt like he did me a favor. Not a huge deal, very easy for me to undo when I got home. Before I started the car I decided to check the oil. Once, many many years ago a repair shop changed my oil and forgot to put oil in. Oddly, this time, AAA did the opposite. They had overfilled the oil by 2.5 quarts. The oil change was done in the repair shop, and after the repair someone started the engine, and drove it to the parking area. When I informed the manager of the overfill I didn't get any kind of "we're sorry". Instead, he barked at the mechanic to fix it. The mechanic told me he was going to just pull the Jeep back into the repair bay and drain the oil...to which I said, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"! I was surprised that I had to explain to the mechanic that driving an engine that was overfull with this much oil could do critical damage to the engine. I asked if they had a "suction type" oil drain system that would allow us to remove oil without having to move the car from the parking lot. He suctioned out 2.5 quarts. This Jeep is just a weekend/sunny day car. It gets very little driving. Before the repair, the car would sit in my garage for months (and never dripped a drop of oil) after the repair, it leaks oil. I can only assume (and yes, I realize it's a big assumption) that the excess oil pressure for the oil overfill damaged a seal. Changing oil is the most basic service a mechanic learns. This location can not be trusted to do even this simple a repair. read more

I came under a family emergency and had to have my oil changed for an 8 hour drive on a Saturday. I was so thankful they were able to fit me in. They didn't have part they needed but I was assured by manager that the one they could put in would work just as well, but was $70 more.. I signed off on it. What do I know about parts? One day after arrival of my destination my car was leaking oil and I had to be taken it to a car manufacturer shop to have it fixed for another large amount. Upon arriving home after 2 weeks, and for three weeks after that, I stopped by and AAA to try to solve my problem and get some money back. The person responsible for calling me back during the three weeks, did not. No one told me anything other than I would be getting a phone call. It took three tries to get satisfied. I doubt I will go back and will stick to car manufacturer. read more

I have been a AAA member for 5 years now. They sent me a coupon for a free oil change (and tire rotation, which I did not need). For the past decade I've never let any shop change my oil and this will absolutely be the last. When they found out that their oil filter wouldn't fit on my application Casey came inside to explain it to me. In my asking and clarifying the problem his attitude, sarcasm, and body language was horrendous. To make the story shorter it took over an hour for a simple oil change, even if the filter fit. It costs me less than $15 and about 20 mins in my garage. It cost me $3 and nearly 1.5 hours for an oil change here. I'd give a rating of 0 if I could. read more

Disappointed. I've used them once before and had a good experience. This time the desk person I went to was rude, abrupt and unfriendly. He also did not repeat what I had asked for so I had no assurance that he wrote everything on the order. I told him I needed a ride home which was assured when I made my appointment. He ushered me into the waiting room and never came back. Meanwhile three other desk employees were hanging out, looking grumpy and had no one waiting at the desk. There were two other people in the waiting room. They were both angry for different reasons - and i mean really angry. At that point i decided to take back my keys and take the car elsewhere. On my way home, I passed at least three other care care shops. I will be giving my business to someone else. Unfriendly, unprofessional, dismissive, and several unhappy customers. read more

My daughters car broke down a mile away and we have used AAA forever for towing (and appreciate them). Oil cooler failed and mixed oil with coolant. A mess. The next am, the shop calls and says the starter is dead, and the engine is ruined (spoiler, it's not). Quickly estimates 8k repairs and dropping a used engine in for me. I asked how they knew the engine is bad if the starter is out? They said they tried to hand turn the flywheel. Then when I asked for a detailed estimate, it seemed an imposition. Finally got a half hearted estimate with little detail, and only verbal. I asked about the AAA 10% discount and they said they would only do the starter and can give 10% on that, but the rest is shopped out to another garage! so that gets me down to $7k after the estimate and the 30 bucks off the starter. Had it towed to a real garage. Engine is fine, new parts and radiator, out the door at a fraction of the costs quoted here. Never again. I'll be calling AAA also. read more

Unprofessional, takes forever to get a quote, they sent me 49 different bills the first month I was with them. I am not exaggerating, literally 49 envelopes came I was getting as much is for a day in my mailbox. I am so disappointed with this company until I can't even express it clearly. As soon as I can take a few hours to look around, I'm taking all of my business elsewhere and I will never give AAA a dime of my money ever again.
