AAA - Hole Our family has been AAA auto club members as far back as I can remember and even before I was born some 70 years ago. A few months ago I received a letter from the President of the AAA ,!I remember thinking oh what's this? Maybe the president of AAA is thanking me for my loyalty to the AAA and continuing to be a AAA member all my life! Perhaps I would receive a special loyalty card for all my years of loyalty to them?,NOPE! Instead...It's a " goodbye Charlie letter." We've audited your account and determined that your usage of towing was an inappropriate amount of towing usage." My son and I both are on the account and we have 2 vehicles, 1 vehicles each. His car and my truck. His letter gave no options to fix the matter, just sorry Charlie, you are banned from our Auto Club. We are entitled 4-Tows per year and that's the exact amount of tows We used.I wrote a letter back to their big man and President ( AAA-Hole ) He didn't have the decency to answer my letter and questions ! Just ignored me. Every time you enter your information on their app, Name, vehicle license plate number, location, etc. AAA refers to that as a request for a tow. You are requesting a tow, within a few minutes they respond on your app and let you know most of the time, your request has been approved! I have had times when they apologized and say that they don't have any tow trucks in the area to send out for you. I've had to call friends instead. We have had quite a few Blizzards here in North Dakota. Once, I was stuck on the Interstate in a drift. Their driver called me back, He was calling from my town about 5 miles away from where I was stuck in a huge drift, I told the driver that if He'd come out for me and hook his winch to my back bumper and pull me back about six feet, I'd have contact to the road and I would be able to drive my truck home. His response was: " Nope, I'm not going outdoors it's too cold and they expect another blizzard tonight." Yeah I know, I'm sitting here stuck in my truck and it's extremely cold, I need your help, that is your job!" "Sorry, I'm not going out in this weather." He hung up on me! Been waiting a solid 2 days for a simple jump start with not one person reaching out or being assigned to help. Worst AAA branch I've ever tried to get help from, don't bother calling them even if you're a member read more

Don't waste your money on travel service support, unless you like to sit and wait for support. Contacted service for a simple jump start for a vehicle, and had over a 75 minute wait for service. Was able to get a good sumaritan to provide a jump. I can understand if the weather was poor and a work day, but on a calm Sunday afternoon. Very poor service. Also, dispatcher informed my that AAA in Fargo only contracts with 4 services. Very poor coverage for the area. Contacted customer service to discuss the issue on following work day and it was like talking to a robot. No solutions to resolve the service issue, just kept repeating the standard goal of 45 minutes for service with no answers for the 75 minute duration. Don't waste your money. read more

Do not ever buy insurance from this office. Don't even go in there or give them a call to ask for a quote; they have the worst customer service of any insurance company I have ever experienced and most of the time they will just lie straight to your face. We had insurance policies on two different cars--one owned, one leased--and both situations were a disaster. We initially insured with them because we had been insured through AAA in a different state and it had been reasonably priced. This was a mistake. The policies are all expensive even with a totally clean driving record, and their ''discounts''don't actually exist. Also the membership fee is about 60$ (as opposed to around $40 elsewhere with the same company) and you get absolutely nothing for this money except the privilege to purchase overpriced insurance policies. On paper the free emergency towing is up to 8 miles; in reality it is 5. On paper a driver under 26 should get a discount' in reality there is no difference. Lots of things like this... ...but the real reason to avoid this company isn't the poor offers or even the price of insurance. They have this habit of cancelling or changing your policy without your permission and not telling you about it--in fact, if you try to get something done over the phone (which you will have to, since their office hours are very short and there is rarely anyone in the office anyway), their wonderful phone receptionist Scott will pretend to look up your policy on the computer and then LIE TO YOU saying that he has done exactly what you asked. This applies to everything. If you are lucky enough to be transferred to someone else, they will treat you as if you are wasting their time. They actually cancelled our policy without even informing us-- no email, no phone call, no letter of notification. We had to take time off work, go into the building just before it closed and argue with them for about two hours before everything was taken care of. Finally when we moved away and found another insurance company, several different people assured us that, yes, our policy had been cancelled, we didn't need to do anything else, it was all fine...and then they started taking money out of our bank account again. We had to go through another round of phone arguments and waste another day with AAA. Never again! Not even worth your time for their travel agency! Recently booked an Alaskan cruise through AAA of ND. While the cruise was fabulous I would never use AAA of ND again. My ground transportation to and from the hotel, ship and airport not provided in error leaving me to make arrangements myself and my flight home from Vancouver not taken care of. Took me 3 hours aboard the ship the night before we debarked to get the flights home for 5 people. I used a travel service so I would have to worry about these things. There was not an emergency or after hours number listed on any of the materials I had and this happened on a holiday weekend. I called the local office and did receive a number on their IVR to call after hours which put me to an office in Minnesota. They said they couldn't help me because I booked through the ND office. I called the local agency whom I went through for the booking to provide my displeasure and suggested they make some improvements on assistance after hours. The manager said she would check things out and call me back. 2 weeks have now gone by and I have yet to hear back from the office. I would never use them again. read more

Just had a horrible experience with AAA. I had AAA RV Plus only to find out while stranded on I15 N of Las Vegas at 5 in the afternoon, that AAA will not change a flat tire on the inside dual of my Class C Motor Home. When asked to connect me with a service provider that would help me at my expense I was connected to a number that didn't answer and their mailbox was full. I had been a member for about 4 years and had never had to use it only when I needed it did I find out they have some fine print which of course they don't send you or you need to search their web site. Do not buy AAA RV plus unless you read their 44 pages of what they don't cover. read more
