I was locked out of my apartment at 10 p.m. one evening. I immediately began trying to find a locksmith since my apartment maintenance and WS Fire & Police have policies about not responding to lock-outs. Ugh! Since AAA KWD Lock & Key had such high Yelp! ratings, I contacted this business first via Yelp! service request. The app said I would get a response in 10 minutes, and the person was "reviewing" my request. Thirty minutes later, when there was no answer, I began to call the phone number(s) listed for the company. Man, what a "rabbit hole" that was!! I was directed to other people and phone numbers when someone didn't answer one number. However, no one ever answered or sent a text message that night. I finally got into my home early that morning. They are truly professionals in their profession. The customer service is above and beyond. I've yet to see any problems they can't solve when it comes to locks & keys. They inform you if any delays and upon arrival. The prices with theses difficult times are very reasonable. And they have all the tools in their truck. On Saturday, June 22, 2019, I managed to lock myself and pups outside on my deck. No key outside - no one with extra key to come in thru the front door. While attempting to open a door, our key unexpectedly broke off into the cylinder. We called AAA-KWD and Shawn was at our location sooner than we were quoted. He quickly replaced the cylinder in an old, 100+ y/o door with ease. Little did we know, our actual problem was the strike plate (I believe that's what it's called) in addition to the broken key. He fixed that perfectly as well. On top of the excellent service, the price was VERY fair. As in, we were bracing for a big bill but instead were charged an incredibly reasonable amount. In my past experiences, locksmith companies can be hit-or-miss. Maybe that's unfair to the profession as a whole but that's just been my experience. I'm guessing if you're reading this review, that's maybe been your your experience too. Please, call these guys for your needs. Honest, clean (even brought their own vacuum), friendly, and excellent professional service. 10/10 would recommend. I called these guys on a Saturday with a last minute request to have my (very old) front door lock changed. They sent someone out immediately for a very low weekend rate. The guy who came was friendly and professional, assessed my situation, and fixed what he could immediately work on with the tools he had. He was up-front and humble about not being able to fully address my request that day. They followed up the following Monday and sent someone same-day to complete the job. A more experienced locksmith came out the second time, and brought the original guy with him so he could teach him what needed to be done. They did not charge me labor for the follow-up visit, as they weren't able to complete the job on the first visit. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of this company.
