After having State Farm insurance for more than 30 years, I had a major claim (all ceilings collapsed, all flooring destroyed, etc etc) for which the other party took full responsibility. I immediately called Troy's office and was told not to file a claim with them (MY insurance company!) but with the other company. This resulted in 2 weeks of limbo (not being able to live in my home) until I finally demanded that Troy's office take my claim. Troy wouldn't even take my call until I threatened to call the NJ consumer affairs. Even after talking to him, pleading with him to help me since I couldn't even live in my home he did absolutely nothing. Refused to come out and see the damage, refused to do anything except tell me he was offended that I was "disappointed" in his complete lack of concern! I tried contacting him again to get him to explain the process and he just sent an email saying he passed my concerns along to my claims rep. HE DID NOTHING! Everyone else at State Farm on the corporate level has been great, the claims rep, the adjuster, the company that handles finding a place for me to live, etc. so I will keep State Farm but Troy McAuliffe is completely useless when you need help the most. PLEASE find a different State Farm agent because if you ever have a claim Troy will be of no help, none.

I've been a construction lender for over 20 years and know that the job of an insurance company is to collect premiums and not pay claims. We had a very tricky situation with mold behind the walls in the bathroom. From Day 1, Daniel was on the case, set his contract in place with us and went to work. After his inspection, he prepared an extremely detailed time and materials budget to submit to the insurance company and stayed on top of them. They of course denied the claim and Daniel rebutted with specific provisions in the mold section which after time, had the insurance company overturn their denial and paid 100% of the Daniel's estimate, without discounting any of the Daniels numbers.
