After going to Bob Sumeral for years between Florence location and now Walton location, this was a bad experience. List of items fixed were, both front CV Axle shafts, rear brake pads, rear rotors and rear passenger side caliper. The cost or speed was not the issue, the repairs were done on a Friday and pretty fast. There was issue with the brake line that rubbed against the tire and wore a hole in it that occurred Sunday while driving to the grocery store. So had to take the car back on Monday and take off work but issue was fixed. read more

WARNING!!! I am a AAA member and took my 2009 Ravy4 to this place a few months ago, for a simple water pump and thermostat replacement, the old man working their said he could have in done over the weekend, he even guaranteed, this was important because I need my car to work thru the week,long story short, I drop my car off friday and didn't get my car back till Tuesday, I pay $1600 and bring my car home to find a coolant smell from the hood, I pop the hood to find spilled coolant ontop of my motor and reservoir, no biggie, I clean it up, and shut the hood, 2months later before I go on a summer vaction in July, 2023, I changed the oil,only to find my entire plastic splashguard under my car, gone, missing!! That thing is easy $50 or more dollars for a used one online!!, then I look and see my upper radiator hose is 1inch back from the housing, and ready to come off!! It was loose!! This could have been a disaster! I would have burnt my engine up on the highway, and it would have been my word against Bob sumerel !,I was really upset, I still am!! Then days later I take my passenger front wheel off to check my brakes (the same side as the water pump replacement from Bob sumerel) and thier (only mechanic) had tightened my lug nuts to 125lbs!! It took a 1/2 inch breaker bar and a tube to get them off, witch also warped my rotor due to excessive overtorking of the lugnuts, I have seen this before from shops when the mechanics use big air tools on them and don't know what they are doing! I don't even believe he is an A.S.E mechanic!! How does the Walton Kentucky Bob sumerel even stay in business????? So I had to buy another rotor also, they are $100 for my all wheel drive Rav4!! So I paid $1600 for very questionable work, was lied too, and had to pay additional $150 plus more labor on my part!! I am not happy and I am telling everyone I know in Walton Kentucky, my home town for 45 years!! read more

These guys took care of me!!! I had a blow out at mile 168 after hours and the tow driver was quick and professional, parking the truck to shield me and followed me to exit 171 where I was able to secure accommodations. They were able to pick a tire up from a neighboring store the next day and have been completely friendly and understanding! Best service I've honestly ever had! I'll be talking about this place for years to come! read more

I dropped my van off here on a Thursday and was stole it would be done by Friday, maybe Saturday morning at the latest. I called multiple times to check on it and they were having a hard time diagnosing it. I waited all day Saturday and at the end of the day they said they should have a diagnosis for me mid morning on Monday. So Mid day Monday My husband called and they hadn't even touched it. The employee that had been working on it was "off that day". Needless to say, we went and picked my van up and took it else where. Absolutely horrible service. They don't seem to care that some people rely on their vehicles and can't wait around for half a week without any answers. read more

Our 1972 Chevelle had a blow out on the freeway due to an air shock (original) that went bad. We were with our 5 grandkids and other family. We had the car towed to Bob Sumeral, due to my sis in law having AAA insurance. She thought it would take less time for a tow. The car was taken over an hour away from our home. The air shocks were installed, but, they DID NOT put air in them! So, once again, we had to to have NEW air shocks put on the car! They were installed incorrectly! Almost $1,500 for 4 tires and 2 air shocks and when I called I was, 1st, put on hold for a half hour and when I called back I was told there is no owner and the manager was off! I was told the manager would return my call 1st thing in the morning. I NEVER received a call so my husband back and was hung up on! We had other estimates, due to the ridiculous price, which we were never told about until the work was already done, and found out about the shocks not being installed properly! AAA needs to investigate the shops used with their name attached more effectively!!! EXTREMELY UNHAPPY WITH THIS SHOP!!! read more

We've had a rough go of finding a half way decent place to get our oil changed since moving to this area. We've tried more places than I care to admit, trying to find a place that didn't have a million hour wait, didn't have people trying to over sell parts that do not even exist on our vehicle, or didn't have rude employees. Well I am absolutely tickled to say we have finally found a great place!!! I called one Sunday morning and asked if I could make an appointment or if they took people first come first serve, the gentleman I spoke with stated come on down whenever you're ready and we will get you taken care of. I sent my husband down so he could drop the vehicle off while he grabbed some items he needed from Autozone. The vehicle was done in record time, no pushy or overselling, just quality work in an efficient amount of time for a fair price and a followup postcard thanking us for business and to call if any questions arise. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS REPAIR SHOP. The team leader by the name of Paul Snyder purposefully considered "putting my life at risk" by allowing me to drive an automobile that he knew was not safe to drive on the highway. Not only that, but I received ZERO updates or phone calls on the status of my vehicle. Despite utilizing my warranty program, Paul made the decision on his own to do maintenance and work on my vehicle that was NOT originally included in the request AND without consulting me first. At NO TIME did I ever get an update on my vehicle despite them keeping it several days later than planned and even then, I had to call them. Upon picking up my vehicle and signing for work of over $1500.00, I voiced my concerns with Paul Snyder/Team Leader at that site. His direct feedback to me was and I quote, "I don't have time to call people about their vehicles. I have over 30 customers." When I let him know I would be telling the world about his HORRIBLE experience, his response was, "Go ahead....". If you value your time, money, efforts, and automobiles, FIND ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP! It's shops like this that give other repair shops a bad name. read more

I want to commend Bob Sumerel in Walton, Ky. After having had a rough day at work I was feeling frazzled and noticed whatever was leaking from my car wasn't getting any better. I was feeling very nervous and at wit's end as to what to do. I called AAA to see if they could come to my house to check my oil to see if that was the problem. They said they don't do stuff like that. I was so relieved when a man named Craig answered the phone at Bob Sumerel and told me to come on over even though it was about 5:45 and they closed at 7:00 P.M. He and his co-worker were so helpful and put my mind at ease. They were unable to totally fix the problem on such late notice but they made me feel like it was safe enough to drive my car until my next off day when I could get the problem totally resolved. They put transmission fluid in my car and charged me next to nothing. I highly recommend them and I will definitely return. Thank you so much for your help Craig and the other guy! read more
