I Will Never use their services again unless I get a refund. Horrible people when I told them I just lost a brother and I have to fly to California. It's never fun getting a phone call call stating '' you ceiling is holding water. This could of caused mold . I called a different company and they stated '' they didn't do a Danm thing and you should take legal action'' Not only did I have to pay $700 for the same services but another $3,600 to replace the Sheetrock, insulation, etc. its messed up and as caused hell for me these past two months. Seems the last two companies had not been cleaning the Evaporator, probably for over seven years. I rewrapped the lines (which had been seeping condensate after multiple tech repairs), cut out the intake and cleaned the Evaporator coil 4 times. It was bad due to lack of cleaning. I also installed an egg crate filter box return. After hearing 3 different opinions from 4 different HVAC techs, I called Mel. He showed up on time, listened to the saga, and checked the unit. He removed and cleaned the blower (which the last company said they could not access). He said the evap coil looked good and the inflow was fine. I love that Mel does his own work, and he does it right. He was calm, listened and knows his science. Oh, and he took care not to track up our carpet.

He installed a water filter, a faucet, and even went above and beyond to ensure my dishwasher line was working correctly when we mentioned it was giving us trouble. As a Baton Rouge area local, he seems to really value high quality work and checked multiple times to make sure nothing leaked, including sticking around for the dishwasher to drain to make sure that was good too! I put some feelers out and got a lot of great recommendations. After making some phone calls, one last recommendation came in, and it was for Championship City. I decided to make the call, and within one ring, Derek answered the phone. I could tell he was mid-job somewhere, but he took the time to listen to what was going on and let me know he could be there around 3. Just about 20 minutes later, I get a call that his next appointment cancelled, so he could be there in about 20 minutes if that worked for me. WOW. Thankfully i was able to meet him at the new time. He was very professional and got right to work. He showed me the issue and let me know how he was going to fix it. He was clean, professional, and quick! The last time this particular issue happened (six years ago), the company's representative tried to push me into buying a new unit right away. Derek was honest and said there is still some life left in this old unit. I plan to touch base with them again for an estimate in a few months when I'm ready to really think about replacement units. The dog days of summer are here, Champion City AC will be the cool breeze you need! UPDATE -- Just over a week later, my 22 year old unit spun its fan one last time. Derek was able to work me in quickly and told me it was time to move on... He quoted me for a whole new system, and I was floored as for the price they told me, I had friends who paid almost double for the same. Just about 15 hours later, he was there to install both indoor and outdoor pieces. They did a great job, i actually have a blanket over me now, and they left my place cleaner than it was when they showed up! Can't go wrong with them!

The technicians arrived at my home Ashley me questions and began troubleshooting my clothes dryer. Despite an official judgement from the court ordering Carl to reimburse us for all repairs, judicial interest, and court courts - as of May 18th, 2024 we have STILL heard nothing from him, his company and have received NO payment. Let this be a reminder to ALWAYS vet all contractors before having any work done on your home. Ask for insurance and license information UPFRONT. Although Carl of Southeast AC may have once been a reputable contractor, that time as passed. He installed a brand new unit to our home June 2022. One year later he personally completed our annual inspection & maintenance in May of 2023. In August of this year, just weeks after his inspection/maintenance, water started pouring out of our ceiling due to a faulty float switch, broken drip pan, AND clogged lines. Carl apologized for missing these errors during his prior inspection and offered to paint over the damage to our wall. His painter came out who found significant MOLD DAMAGE and recommended the whole ceiling and wall be replaced. Carl gave us a deposit and the go-ahead to have a contractor begin the necessary repairs. Once the repairs were completed, Carl ghosted us and refused to pay the remaining balance. He installed faulty equipment, performed negligent maintenance, and then refused to pay for the extensive damage to our home. He lacks professionalism in all our communications and blatantly lied to cover up his error. He is only concerned with his pockets and not the quality of work or his customers. If you have had equipment installed by this man, PLEASE have another person inspect it. DO NOT trust Southeast Heating and Air to uphold any quality or standard. (It's cheap for a reason)
