We started off with tandoori chicken and lamb kebabs and the presentation was really appetizing and super tasty and it's been a long time since we went out for Indian food because we have a six year old and he's actually a picky eater but he surprised us and loved the lamb kebabs Chicken biryani is a rice dish in a pot with kind of a soufflé looking naan bread poofed up on top. Awesome dish of rice that makes a great base. Tasty daal lentil dish. Another one was with eggplant. Spoon that next to the rice. Oh pilaf rice was really tasty too. I really wanted beef vindaloo because I always love getting the super heat that makes me cry and it was really awesome and I'm glad I saved it for around the middle to end of the meal because it's really hot and I did ask for it to be spicy hot. I saw some other review where some guy was complaining it wasn't hot enough for him, and I can't imagine that, and I'm like a big Bhut jalokia ghost pepper fan. I think that other guy should try it again and tell the waiter he can take it and I think they'll give it to him :). Naan bread and reita is so freshly made and awesome Korma scallops really stand out in this meal as a surprise for us. I want to go back and get some more of that. It was really scallopy goodness in there! I've had lots of korma lamb and beef - i'm really happy we tried it with scallops today. It had a nice sweetness to it! The chef knows what he is doing - big time! Honestly we couldn't be happier to find this in Saskatoon. And we've traveled the world quite a bit - we had one of the best Indian meals of our lives today! We ordered a ton of food and kept it pretty straight up Indian food but they also have a extremely interesting menu with like something like Manchurian Chinese dishes and some really imaginative takes on foods like French onion soup I think I saw on the menu and even like kashmere poutine! The dessert was the highlight of the evening, the cheesecake was average but the saffron cake was delicious! One of the best cakes I've ever had! By the end of our meal the owner came to help the server and it was great to see him helping on the floor! He was very kind and explained that one of there servers called in sick and they couldn't get another worker in on time.
