I had this company come out and cut down a tree limb and the couple of months later I found out they needed a permit and they left the big stump in the back of my yard I called up the company and they said they would take care of it when I talk to the head of the company Shane Patterson he was not very nice to me and said it was my fault and it wasn't anything to do with him because he didn't need to get a permit it was my problem getting the permit yet I'm responsible for the penalties and he's responsible for nothing his employees were wonderful all except for somebody called Matt who stole $1,250 from me because I paid him $1,250 cuz he said I owed him that and not the company which I believed him but he never gave I never got the 1,250 back I never got the tree stump cut down and I never got reimbursed for charges from the city of St Augustine for cutting the tree without permit. All of this employees were absolutely wonderful and did a great job except for Matt who I think they fired. But now I'm stuck with a very big tree stump in the back of my house that Shane Patterson wants nothing to do with. read more

I am writing this review not so much from work that I ordered with them, but how my encounter with this company and its boss has turned out. From my experience, this company and the people who run it are unreliable, dishonest, and incompetent, and you should never trust them. On December 21, 2023, All American Tree Specialist serviced my neighbor's trees, by coming thru my yard without my knowledge and permission, and in the process left a large rut in my grass. I did not find out until after the fact after my daughter told me that she observed them from her upstairs bedroom, and reviewing my security camera footage later. I confirmed the company with my neighbor. The damage was caused by them using a large Kubota Wheel Loader over my lawn without taking appropriate measures. The next day one of their staff (Tyler) happened to come up to me passing out business cards, not knowing of the issue and let me know that they were down the street on another job. I came and talked with John, the owner/boss, and informed him of the damage. By the expression of his face he was annoyed, but said that he would repair the damage, after the New Year. I sent him via text message, e-mail, Nextdoor messaging, and Facebook messaging many messages after the New Year to ensure he had my contact information and to find out when his people would undo the damage. Over two months passed when I finally got a message on March 9, 2024, stating that they would come to fix the damage and asked which phone number would be good to contact me. I sent them the information, and since then NOTHING! How can you trust someone that lies to you? I was told in person and by message in separate instances that they would fix the problem, and they still refuse to contact me to arrange anything. Would you trust someone with a job knowing that they lie to their customers? It has now been four months since the damage was done and still nothing. Intentions are everything and John's and All American Tree Specialist intentions were to not undo, what they did. Also, would you hire someone that doesn't have the sense to protect your lawn when running massively large and heavy equipment (see the picture) over it? They have to know that doing so will leave ruts through anyone's yard, not to mention damaging sprinkler systems. This is just simple incompetence, or worse a lack of professional regard to their customer, and in my victim since I was not a customer. And last, this was not an accident but an intentional decision, which should make anyone think twice before considering All American Tree Specialist. It was clear that we were home when they accessed my yard, because our car was outside in the driveway. Instead of being forthright and asking for permission, they just drove thru the driveway, coming dangerously close to the side of our car, left a large rut on the side of my yard, while scraping palm fronds over the top of it while pulling out. If they would have asked first, then I would have said yes, moved my car, and requested that they put something down on my yard first to protect the grass and sprinklers. But that's not what they did. They damaged our yard, ran away like cowards/criminals after the damage was done, and then lied to me by saying they would fix it when it is clear they have no intention of doing so. John promised to remove 8 trees and leave stumps at ground level. He promised they would clean up and we would "never know they had been in the yard." 2 stumps were not cut to ground level, one was left 5 ft high, the other was 4 ft high. He and his team destroyed the backyard to the point where we needed to pay to have sod placed in the backyard. They removed 20 bags of debris left behind by John's crew. MAKE SURE YOU GET A CONTRACT FROM HIM TO COVER YOUR REAR! He will threaten court/lien against your home if you hold him accountable for his mistakes and mess left behind. My trees were overgrown and hanging over the roof and pool enclosure. I Called All American Tree Specialists and they came right over. We discussed what needed to be done and John gave me a pretty reasonable quote. They were here in 2 days, The trees in the front and back yard were trimmed nicely. John and his guys are a great team!! We had a large diseased tree in the back of the property that had two large branches already fall from the last two storms. The tree was taken down quickly and rather than haul the trucks away..they were used to create an awesome natural barrier for my property.. Great idea John!!
