I set it up, turned it on and as soon as it was under a load it tripped the GFCI built into the power cord. I tried calling to make sure they knew I was coming back with a bad saw but even after asking to be redirected by the operator 4 times nobody answered. When I told the man at the counter what the saw was doing he plugged it in and turned it on. I told him it only does it under load and he said I must have plugged it into a bad extension cord. Wow. The counter person is looking at me sideways like I am trying to pull some sort of scam and it is now going on 10 a.m. He called for a manager and said it would be a few minutes. The manager showed up 15 minutes later with an assistant manager and after hearing what was going on said the best they could do was void the contract and refund the deposit. I suggested in the interest of customer service and being I had a job to finish that maybe the best coarse of action would be to send me home with the next level up saw and charge me the original price or the 4 hour rate rather than for an entire day but, again I was looked at like I was trying to scam them somehow. The manager started to write up the contract and said he had to charge me full price for a 24 hour rental -even though the entire situation was at his discretion- and I almost went for it in the interest of finishing the job but after being treated like a thief by all 3 I said "Not good enough" and left. By then it was almost 11:a.m. Ridiculous.
