The first repair man came out and said it needed a new timer. That visit causes $116 we had purchased appliance order the timer and that was another $218. The second repair man came out and installed the timer and the dryer still did not work. He could not find the problem. That visit cost us $175. They sent a third repair man out and he could not fix it either. Could not figure out what was wrong with it. No charge for that visit. At this point, we have $509 in a used dryer that does not work. We headed down to the store to see what our options were. They had a used dryer at their store that they were selling for $300. They gave us $250 credit for our dryer which had a new $200 timer on it. So we ended up putting in an additional $50 to get another used dryer. Then they delivered and installed the dryer we bought from them for $155. When they came to install the dryer, the cord on the dryer was not long enough to reach the plug in our house. I made a trip down to Paducah to pick up a longer cord and they charged me $40 for it. I told them I didn't feel it was fair for me to have to pay for the cord after all we have gone through and the expense we have gone through but they would not budge. The cord started out at $45 and they knocked it down to $40. So now we have $754 in a used dryer. We could have bought a brand new one cheaper. And they thought I was being unreasonable asking them to cover a $40 cord for the dryer. They took no accountability in their part of not being able to fix it. A clothes dryer is one of the simplest appliances there are out there. It's hard for me to believe somebody couldn't fix that thing.

So rude that she called me very upset about it. I called Bradley and explained the situation! He denied his rudeness over and over, but eventually asked me what he should do about the situation! I answered with, "apologize to her." His response was "I will absolutely not call her and apologize." I didn't ask for free appliance or 50% off my next stove, I asked for something that is completely FREE! He continuously pointed the finger at my elderly mother, while defending himself! Poor professionalism and customer service! From here on out, you will only hear out of my mouth, "Whatever you do don't go to RiverCity Appliance, they will treat you like garbage and then call you a liar."

Greg was extremely nice and helpful. He answered all of my questions and price-matched. I picked one and paid for it. He said it would take a week to get in. Okay, I could wait a week, give or take. I found it interesting that they didn't stock what they were selling on the floor, but it was fine. After a week, I called to check on it. They said they had a new system, and the fridge was "in transit" to their warehouse, but the rep (supplier) was pushing back the delivery date. Next week, same story with a story about tariffs and parts the rep was having trouble with. I asked, specifically, "Was it in transit; on a truck? Or was the label created?" "Yes, but they keep pushing the date back." Three weeks later, no fridge. But I'm on the delivery schedule... So, I call to make sure that if they still don't have it, they'll take me off the schedule so there wasn't any confusion. I finally get told, "Well, it's in the "cart", but we can't order it until the 19th." It was supposed to be the 17th of the previous month. Turns out, it wasn't even ordered!!! If you already knew you would've had to wait to order it, tell me! After 3 weeks telling me it's "in transit". I would've gone with a different model the first week! Yet, they continued to tell me it was on a truck to their warehouse. But they deposited my check not even 2-3 days after I paid. I cancelled the order and went to pick up my refund check after the third week. Greg was great! Chatted back and forth about what happened.... Then the owner's son-in-law, Jake, got involved. Not really sure why.. Pretty sure he was the one telling Greg to say it was ordered. Very unprofessional! Somehow Rush Appliance was brought up because they actually have stuff in stock. He didn't like that lol. He told me it was best to cut ties, some other stuff was said, and he kept running his mouth. Told him, the check is in my hand, pretty sure ties are already cut. Thanked Greg and walked out the door. Jake decided to throw out, "Good luck with Rush's...". I turned around and went back in. "I have stocked an entire house with their appliances. They have what you need in stock and are always kind and ready to provide maintenance when needed. I should've known better, but you were closer; I was in a hurry (because of my refrigerated meds), and I have purchased from here once before. A lot has changed in those 8 years." He started mouthing off, saying that they have "nice customers". I have been nothing but patient and kind. I am not a confrontational person, and I don't like conflict. So, I was extremely nice every phone call, including the one they had admitted to lying! He finally walked away after his spouting went nowhere. For a "family owned" store, it has gone downhill with Jake as the front face of the store. I was incredibly understanding and civil. But the things he was saying.... so sad... Please think before you buy here. At least if they tell you they will have to order it. You'll be waiting, and you won't get honesty:( Incredibly bummed with this experience.
