This company charged me for 2 hours to cap a broken pipe/spigot in the yard. Then on top of that…read morethey charged me for "Service call" for truck expenses they said. Then they charged me to use a tool to cap the pipe. Total of $386 and now I don't even have a spigot in the back. Find another plumber, these are not fair charges. Home depot sells a push on cap that I could do in a few minutes for $10.

When I realized there was hot water leak under the slab of my house, I called a number of plumbing…read morecompanies for estimates. The leak caused my electric bill and city water bill to skyrocket, not to mention having to replace the water heater in the process. Unknown to me at the time, the copper pipe in the slab of the house had been piecemeal replaced over the years. The majority of the quotes for a whole house re-pipe were all over $5,000, some of them WAY over. The majority of those quotes were from representatives who were not plumbers themselves, only "salesmen". The main problem was the quality of the estimates. Some were for CPVC which is unacceptable. I knew PEX was the way to go. Hometown Plumbing came through with the lowest bid and it included the PEX. I gave them the "go ahead" and they arrived in force with lots of men and trucks right away. The workmen were seasoned plumbers and the job was completed in two days. I had a water manifold installed at the time. Now I can turn off anything that might be leaking individually without affecting the rest of the household. They gave me the lowest price, the speed needed, and peace of mind. Thanks, Hometown Plumbing!
