Extremely unprofessional. Since I began treatment with them in 2020, I've had many bad experiences…read more Too many to count. Today I spent my appointment arguing with my nurse practitioner, Oghale Mukoro, about whether or not a drug has a side effect. I had a serious experience last week and ended up in the ER and followed up with them the next day. She did not call me back, but simply write a message to contact my doctors office. She showed no concern as if it was no big deal. Recently, I went a couple of days without medication because she failed to order it in a timely manner, after numerous messages and phone calls over a week before I was out. The office promised me it would be filled on a certain day. However it wasn't. Ms. Oghale waited until after I was completely out of medication before she submitted it, but the prescription could not be ordered because the doctor was on vacation. All the other times the prescription had been sent early. This was passive aggressive. Then she attempted to gaslight and say she could not send it because it was too early. This is inaccurate because she can send it up to 2 weeks before, but the pharmacy cannot fill it until right before I'm out. In 2020-2021, I told my nurse practitioner, Oghale, about some side effects that I had with certain medications. I've been on several medications. She told me that I did not have those particular side effects. She also told me Latuda does not cause weight gain, and did not cause weight gain for me. I gained over 20 lbs. A few months ago, my prescribing doctor, Lauren Wilson told me "I can find somebody else." Not exactly ethical conduct in my opinion. Mind you, I've never met this lady before. Then she wanted to go up in my dose, for no reason, despite the fact I was gaining significant weight rapidly. She also hates for you to disagree with her. When you do have an issue, the office will contact you and mark "resolved", without the issue being resolved. "Resolved" just means they forwarded the message, I guess. In February, I needed a prior approval form completed for my insurance company for a certain drug. I contacted the office but was basically told that they'll get to in a week. This is despite attempts to contact them a week before, and after my pharmacy called them. They disregarded me and the pharmacy multiple times, but my insurance company called, and miraculously the form was completed. So basically, as a patient I get no respect, but if my insurance company calls, then they'll respond quickly. The only reason I'm still here is because since the pandemic, it has been extremely difficult to find a provider that is accepting clients that do not put you on a 8 month waiting list. I would have ended things with them a long time ago. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a doctors office. If they want me to jump through hoops, and do their job for them, the least they can do is communicate and fill my medications in a timely manner, and treat me with respect. I can't fill my own medications. They've changed their name to One Behavioral. I wonder if it's because they've been sued. I would not be surprised if they have many complaints. I've asked to speak with the office manager, Eric Bao, but I haven't received a phone call yet, and I'm sure I never will. Also, at the end of appointments they send surveys and at the end asks if you want to be contacted. Even though I've said yes, there has never been a follow up. Seems to be complete chaos. I have never been so stressed out with a doctors office, especially a psychiatrist office.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with any doctor/NP in my entire life. Not exaggerating…read morein the least. I'm posting this publicly - something I definitely don't want to do. That's how bad this is. If you had a similar experience, you can file a complaint with the medical board at the below link. www.tmb.state.tx.us/page/place-a-complaint So here's what happened.. I was trying to establish care after recently moving to Houston from out of state. I set an appointment with Oghale Mukoro through ZocDoc (she had 5/5 stars and was covered by my out of state insurance). TBH bypassed ZocDoc and texted me to fill out their forms online. First red flag. Second red flag was that these forms asking for my personal information were on a non secure site. My gut told me to stop, but my options were limited so I pressed on. Then, the forms crashed on me twice making me restart the entire process three times. I finished and submitted the forms prior to my appointment but they never went through to Oghale, except for my co-payment. That went through. Oghale was 10 minutes late. That's forgivable. But the way she treated me from start to me ending the appointment prematurely was not. She began by telling me she didn't get my forms (ugh) and then went straight to reading off a questionnaire. She didn't ask why I set up the appointment. She showed little concern and no bedside manner. She was indifferent, serious, and came off as being upset that I was on her screen. I was disheartened at this point. Never had I been treated so robotically and with such disregard for my wellbeing by someone in this field of medicine. I was frustrated and showed it. To my visible frustration, she didn't ask about what was wrong or any other open-ended question like she should have. Here is what she asked: "Are you tired? Or are you high?" Excuse me? Seriously, what did she just say? I was immediately and completely floored. She denied saying it when I asked her if she really just asked me if I was high. But I am 100% sure that is what she said. I stayed cool. I told her I was frustrated by the forms crashing, and her not getting the forms after they finally went through, and having to fill out personal and payment information on an insecure site, and the robotic questionnaire. She asked what I didn't like about the questionnaire. I replied saying the choices are too restrictive. She replied by saying something like "well that's what the questionnaire says." She then just jumped right back into the questionnaire. My goodness. I was pretty much past my last straw at this point but was still on the line grasping to whatever optimism I could find about seeing this through. She then told me she needs my labs every 6 months. Never have I had a BH practitioner ask for this. That's my primary care doctor's responsibility. I asked her about that and she gave me an explanation about "how will we know if you have a thyroid problem?" Okay, again, that's my primary doctors job. I would be open to it, but Oghale never established a relationship and I had no trust in her or this organization. That's when I just told her thank you for your time and I'm going to find a different doctor. I wish I had done more research. But I'm not going to blame myself for that. Oghale, and the supervising MD whoever that is, or if there is one, violated the Hippocratic Oath. So many of the above reasons alone are enough not to trust this place and person. All of them combined, it's a no brainer. I will never submit myself to this poor level of care again. I won't ignore the red flags and will trust my gut in the future. I hope this review helps anyone considering this practice for their care.

We were receiving minimal ECI therapy through the state but it just wasn't enough. I researched ABA…read moretherapy and naturally you'll find some horror stories about ABA while researching. I'd really like to express Action Behavior Centers is NOT an ABA facility a parent should have any fears about. ABC recognizes how uniquely beautiful our children are!!! They focus their services on POSITIVE reinforcement, they are never negatively reinforcing to see improved behavioral changes. Since being with their services my child was finally verbally able to communicate again. She's not just able, she's blowing through the benchmarks! ABC continuously improves her language skills daily too! ABC has also improved her eating habits and those pesky sensory processing disorder issues that hinder our children. Most importantly for my biggest concerns, since joining ABC my child now has no issues with self injurious behaviors towards herself or me. Even when natural little regressions happen because of life changes, ABC jumps into action and nips it quickly. You will have monthly/bi-monthly parent meeting with goals and important education about methods. You will see all of the data, improvements, and be fully explained how this data is achieved and why it's absolutely reliable information. ABC also helped us accomplish the dreaded potty training. We stuck with the program we sat down to design for this task and my child was off diapers, accidents, and actually using the potty with huge success within a month of us doing this plan. Their staff is so professional but also so compassionate and like having new best friends in life. Your child will be greeting every morning with ENERGY and love! Your child's team member will ask everyone morning without fail, "how did she sleep? Was she able to eat breakfast today?" They will have a lower ratio of children per therapist. So you know your child is getting that individual attention they need. Next, ALL of their ABA therapists are mastered approved and educated BCBA's. This is important to point out because you will not find this at several other options. Also, they are so prompt about a waiting list. You won't wait months with them like you would with other places. LIFE SAVERS when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. You won't be spending several hours a week fighting for your kid's coverage...they have a dedicated amazing staff that knows all the ins and outs and professionally executes this task for you. They also offer discounted rates based on income. They also will pair your child up with a buddy that's in the same age range/developmental range for a portion of the day too. This helps your child acclimate for public/private schooling in the future. Teaches them to share, socialize, and focus as if it was a typical classroom type setting and they were sitting next to someone in class. They also have amazing group activity (all Covid safe) and they have a fantastic gym to get your kiddo biting energy the correct way. Correct meaning, they understand the importance we as parents face when our child is either understimulated or overstimulated. They help aid in those problematic behaviors where it's hard to get your child to go from a highly desirable activity to a lower desired activity. As a parent I am experiencing less fits whether they are manic meltdown endured or just a normal run of the mill typical fit. Last I'd like to address Covid concerns. You will NOT find any place more prepared or active in safety. They go above and beyond to address this pandemic safer than any business I know. They are even my therapist I feel like sometimes lol! They keep me as a parent confident, informed, educated, and relieved anytime our daily life throws us negative changes. Our children don't generally deal with changes of routine or environments well, but ABC rolls with punches alongside you and squashes any understandable regression immediately. Personally speaking as a co-parent...they have helped with our co-parent communication too. You and your child are in the best hands with ABC!

They will have them do a clinical, then they will not pay for the 2nd week, which is illegal. They will be in court soon for Colorado law that they have violated. Want covid for your children? Come here. I just found out that the SLP, whom my 2 year old and 3…read moreyear old have been seeing for months is not vaccinated. The owner of the clinic, Michael Gatto, thinks that this is fine since she is a contracted employee. However, he also stated that he does not require his employees to be vaccinated. He also disclosed that he was unaware of the vaccination status of our SLP and also unaware that she did not inform her patients of this either. There was no apology or a trace of remorse in his voice. With cases rising (It's December 20, 2021), it is not a question of if but when our SLP will contract covid and give it to my kids. She sees multiple kids a day, many who cannot be vaccinated because they are under 5 years old, and at most wears a face shield but the past several weeks has worn nothing. The first SLP we saw is vaccinated; we had to switch to the current one because of scheduling conflicts and it was not disclosed to me at the time of the change that our new SLP was unvaccinated. This only came to light beca use the SLP's husband contracted covid so she reached out to let me know. To be in healthcare- especially in pediatrics- and choose to be unvaccinated is irresponsible and shameful. It also brings into question why she has chosen to not get vaccinated; the last person I want treating my children is someone who doesn't believe in science. I trusted that she was evidence-based in her practice but can't trust this to be true if she doesn't believe in getting vaccinated. The Speech and Language Connection has robbed me of both a sense of security and time. The time spent on admit paperwork and for my children to build a rapport with the therapist is too many hours to count. I'm sure it will take months to get in at TCH, but at least they require their clinicians to be vaccinated, like the majority of healthcare facilities in the city and country. I'm beyond upset- I trusted our SLP to provide therapy and to have my kids' best interest at heart. She has put them at increased risk for no reason and it's unacceptable.
