Would be funny except they think they are getting away with it. These people call you at 6:50 a.m. and tell you they have an immediate position for you. They found my information on a job board, but didn't tell me which one. They assumed I was going to leave my current job for theirs. They promised the moon, but when I asked specific questions they couldn't answer. They also ALWAYS have temporary assignments for you to go on rather than regular work. I think they are just phishing for more information. They are a SCAM in my opinion. DO NOT fall for this. (and your name isn't Paul, Kyle, or David either) They are all of Indian descent and try to tell you they are American. I wish I could give one-fourth of a star. This place is very unprofessional and immature. They contacted me for a contract position, begged me to interview for it in less than 24 hours, and then ignored me when I tried to follow up after the interview. They will hound you to death if there's a chance the client wants you, but dodge you like a bad date if you don't get an offer. Grow up, guys. Telling someone, "The client passed, but we may have something for you down the road," is not difficult. They have burned their bridge with me. read more

Victor Kumar contacted me for a short contract opportunity that would require relocation since it was for San Diego, clear indication that the guy does not even bother to be realistic (if you really want to lure somebody out of the Bay Area, at a minimum, you need to offer a permanent job and not a temporary contract). Always conscientious of recruiters on HI-B visa programs that are looking to 'build an inventory' of resumes to mask their unwarranted value for being in the US, I simply replied and asked Alvin Ahmed how many project managers has he placed / fulfilled in 2017, as well as the zip-code of the office seeking to fill the position. I have received at least 20 messages in the last 24 hours. It is illegal to not provide an opt-out for these messages. I tried to submit a request on their website to stop emailing me, but their form does not work. I would never recommend anyone working with this company in any capacity. I was hired by Abacus Service Corporation to install these sig caps for NCR Corporation in Home Depot stores on August 3rd. Sig caps are these credit / debit card readers that you can swipe your card, and then enter your pin number or sign your name with the plastic stylus. They are part of the register system for Home Depot stores, as well as other large, retail stores. I live in San Jose, California. The Home Depot stores that I was hired to replace these sig caps were in Union City, Livermore, and Tracy--all in the East Bay, California. The recruiter, named Rachel, told me I would be paid an hourly wage for these installations, and a mileage reimbursement, from Abacus, of $.36 per mile, after the first 15 miles. I agreed to the contract, and started the work on Tuesday with the commute to the Union City Home Depot Store. As I was installing the sig cap on a register, one of the Home Depot employees told me that another Abacus contractor had come to the store to install the same sig caps on the same register. It turns out different Abacus recruiters hired two different contractors to do the same three-city job for replacing sig caps at Home Depots. We both spent an hour trying to contact Abacus, and sort out who would work for the job. I ended up taking the job for all three Home Depot stores, and completed the work that day. The next day, I faxed in my work sheets for Abacus, and called the staffing manager there. I was told by Rachel that I would get a mileage reimbursement, but did not know how to send that reimbursement in to Abacus. The staffing manager then told me that they were not going to honor the mileage reimbursement because NCR Corporation would not pay for the mileage reimbursement for the work I had done that day. I drove 137 miles that day to replace those damn signature caps for both Abacus Service and NCR, and now both companies screwed me out of a mileage reimbursement--a reimbursement that Abacus Service recruiter Rachel told me I would receive for using my car in order to travel to the Home Depot stores to complete the work. I would never accept another contract job from this fucking, Abacus Service Corporation, nor from NCR Corporation. All they want are monkey slaves to do their idiotic jobs, free of charge. I just want to warn other contractors before they accept any jobs from Abacus Service Corporation. I called and left a strong message to the Abacus recruiter, asking why she originally promised me the mileage reimbursement, and then the manager reneged on it. The recruiter called me back 20 minutes later, saying that Abacus will reimburse my mileage at the rate the recruiter originally promised. I am a happy camper, knowing that I will receive my reimbursement. But the entire ordeal with Abacus has still left me with a terrible experience. I cannot recommend this company. If you do plan to work for Abacus as a contractor, be warned that if they can get away with reneging on promises, I think they will. I do not think they have any interest in the well being of the contractors they hire to work for these jobs, but rather corporations like NCR, who want to pay rotten banana peels for dumb, stupid monkeys.
