The service is also very friendly--unusually friendly for this region. Overall, Savoy has that classy cinema feel missing from the big name theaters. -1 star for the sound quality. If you are unfortunate enough to settle for a seat along the wall directly beneath the speakers, you will have a hard time understanding dialogue; everything will sound muffled. This is the case whether it's the floor seating or the more expensive loge seats. The sound quality improves dramatically as soon as you stand up, and increases slightly the nearer you get to the center of the auditorium. -0 stars for the mice behind the wall upholstery engaging in a minor turf scuffle. I thought it was pretty funny when the wall right next to me started flapping and sending out mouse squeaks during a quiet moment of Blade Runner 2049. It added to Savoy's charm.

I like this cinema very much, especially the 1st one (there are about 8 theatres in total under one…read moreroof). It's big, airy and comfy at the same time. Posters and popcorn smell set the mood. Queues proceede quick, although it can be full on weekends and public holidays. Tickets are not too cheap, we paid 16,5 eur for 3 balcony tickets (they are a bit more expensive). With the screen size of space observatory it was all worth it. Two things to note: trailers of coming movies last at least 10-15 min, so don't panic if you're late and also female toilettes are hopelessly full after the movie. Some things never change! In my humble oppinion, that genius mind who'll solve this female toilette problem should get not less than a Nobel prize.

The screens I've seen have been big, and the projection, clear. The sound system left something to be desired, but wasn't actually bad. Es gibt 3 Säle, alle sind unterschiedlich groß. Alle Säle sind sauber und bieten mit normalen und auch Logenplätzen ein phantastisches Kino-Erlebnis. Die Sitze in den Logen-Reihen lassen sich auf Knopfdruck in sehr bequeme Liegesessel umfunktionieren. Highlight ist natürlich auch der Am-Platz-Service. Freundliches Personal nimmt die Bestellung auf, manchmal dauert dann das Bringen an den Platz etwas, aber das tut dem Gesamterlebnis keinen Abbruch. Ich komme immer wieder gerne her !

I was so excited when I first learned that we'd be in port overnight in HafenCity. It's such a…read moregreat concept having a cruise terminal inside a multi-level shopping center and especially one with the Westfield brand. There's also a U-Bahn Überseequartier Station inside this complex. We received samples of German chocolate as we walked through the cruise center. It was a great welcome! The shopping mall is still very new. It opened in April 2025. It's a mix of inside and outside spaces which makes it perfect for all kinds of weather. You'll notice that it's a Westfield right away when you look up at the cube glass skylights that let in all that sunlight. The architecture here is even more stunning since it's open to the Elbe River. There's a waterfront on that side where you can see the ships coming and going. It's beautiful! As you enter, you'll notice that there are at least 3 levels of shopping within the building. The interactive map makes it look like 4 with a basement level. The ground 0 level is where you'll see even more shops and restaurants during an outdoor stroll of Überseeboulevard. There's even a separate food court (called "The Kitchen") that can be accessed by escalator from this main Boulevard. We decided to have lunch at Cardamom Progressive Indian Dining which is in the outside portion of the complex. What a great experience! There are restaurants here that will suit all tastes, but I didn't see any German ones. I think that was the only thing missing. Although, it may be named Overseas Boulevard for a reason. There are many German options as you walk away from the shopping center as well as many attractions. It's all very walkable. It's just an exciting and happening place to be in HafenCity.
