She worked with James weekly throughout the summer and in August attended try outs for one of the most competitive teams in the state. Welcome to the Day Hill Dome. It's the centerpiece of the Champions Way complex that someday will add two hotels, three synthetic turf, and one natural grass athletic field to the Dome and brewery, making it quite the tourist and recreation destination. The dome covers 95,000 square-foot, boasts an 80-foot ceiling, and can be divided into four sections. We saw lacrosse, field hockey, and flag football youth games going on when we visited. The place was packed with parents watching the games at field level and up on a second-floor viewing deck. They have all kinds of options for leagues to use the facility, to join their own leagues, to join a drop-in game, or even to rent out the upper platform for a private event. Pretty cool, don't you think?
