Stopped by to get some peaches after viewing the nearby giant Peachoid water tower . They had a diverse selection of fruits and veggies along with canned items , honey and locally made dressings and marinades . All of their products seemed to be locally produced . I also saw they sold locally made ice cream which would be great on a hot summer day . The Only Review You Need To Read We took a weekend trip from Maryland down to Georgia and while there, we picked up way too many peaches to bring back home with us. On the way back up North, we saw signs for this stand and had heard that South Carolina peaches were actually better than Georgia peaches. So we took the exit and made our way over there. We picked up a bag of peaches, tried the peach cider, and ended up buying a small bottle and a gallon size of the cider. Then one last impulse purchase - a loaf of raisin cinnamon bread by the counter that looked so damn good. I have to say, their peaches were indeed better and sweeter than the ones we had purchased in Georgia. We probably should have invested in the big bucket because I've been making a pig of myself by eating five peaches in one sitting because they really are that good. The workers there were also so nice & friendly. On our next trip South, we will be pulling in to Abbott Farms for more of those peaches. And I'll be telling everyone I know if they ever find themselves in the area, to definitely stop by. read more

These are the best peaches in the world, unless there is a freeze that kills all the peaches. When that occurs it presents a problem. Abbott buys them elsewhere and doesn't inform you when you buy them. I bought some a while back, not realizing that the crop had been killed by the cold weather. The peaches were terrible. The employees should inform people when the peaches are not Gaffney peaches.When they are Gaffney peaches there is no question that they are the best anywhere on the planet. Unless you've had a big ripe Gaffney peach, you've never eaten a peach. This is my favorite place to buy them after a good crop comes in. read more

This Fruit Stand is located at Exit number 92 off Interstate 85 behind the Chevrolet dealership. It's GPS pin has been corrected on Yelp as of 7/20/18. So, you can use Yelp to get here by hitting directions. Anyway, great fruit stand here that has delicious peaches. They taste great. What happened on my first visit is I bought 1 peach to try them out. I forgot the peach in my car for couple days. Then, I put it in the refrigerator for a few hours. I have to say it was the best peach I ever had. In my second visit. I decided to buy a basket full of peaches because I know they are good. It was $12.50 for about 14 peaches. I also bought a watermelon, some peach preserves and some local South Carolina honey. A young guy was organizing peaches who seemed agitated at me asking questions about prices and where to get my peaches. They offered no help in carrying my watermelon to my car. So, I had to ask. They have several other items for sale here like honey. read more

Abbott Farms has six farm stands set up along the interstate highways in South Carolina. Four of the stands can be found along I-85. The others are on I-95 and I-26. This review is for the farm stand located at 103 Peachoid Road in Gaffney (zip code 29341) just off I-85 exit 92. Be careful when navigating to this stand because Waze tried to direct me back onto the interstate. The covered, open-air stand sells fresh fruit and vegetables, jams, jellies, pickles and pickled vegetables, nuts (including boiled peanuts), chow-chow (pickled relish), salsas, syrups, honey, drinks, and more. Summer hours are 8am-8pm, Monday-Saturday (closed Sunday). We stopped by this stand on our way back to Georgia from North Carolina and picked up a basket of 15 freestone peaches for $12.50. This equated to 83 cents a peach - a better deal than Costco. I'm a big fan of Costco's peaches, which are from California. These were great as well. The top three peach-producing states, in order, are California, South Carolina, and Georgia. Abbott Farms had a nice selection of peach baskets lined up and ready to go. The baskets were lined with plastic bags, making it easy to lift the peaches out of the baskets to take them home. The peaches were ready to eat immediately, but tasted even better 1-2 days after we bought them after allowing them to ripen/soften a little. They were sweet (not as sweet as California peaches though), juicy, and delicious. If you like peaches, these are worth stopping by for. There were free samples to try. We tried some blackberries and non-alcoholic peach cider. The blackberries were terrific and the cider was cold and refreshing. It tasted better than I expected. Gid ("as in Gideon") checked us out. He was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. This stand is located near Gaffney's hard-to-miss Peachoid, a tall water tower that sits between exits 90 and 92 that resembles a giant peach. It's attached to a fireworks shop called Red Star Fireworks. read more

We bought some peaches from the stand in Gaffney and we let them sit on our counter for 3 days like they told us to do and they are the WORST peaches we ever had! They have no taste at all! I hope the ones they have at the festival will be better. Buyer beware, try before you buy. read more

I stopped here in early September and asked if the peaches were freestone. I spent $48.00 on a basket. At home, I found them to NOT be freestone so they were a pain to cut up. They were also mushy and tasteless - some of the worst peaches I've bought in years. I realize it's the end of the season but don't lie to me and sell me pathetic tasting peaches. read more

We found a very good selection of things and left with fresh muskidines, whole pecans, pickled hot okra, unsweetened peach cider, two different salad dressings and salted roasted peanuts ! Stopped here on a complete whim while driving south on 85 to find incredible peaches, boiled peanuts, and peach cider. Definitely worth stopping at if you're traveling through. The people were nice, the store has all kinds of interesting local foods... not to mention the fireworks. I loved their boiled peanuts. The staff is really helpful and nice also. They gave me a bag for the shells, and napkins, because they knew I would be eating peanuts while driving. They know peanuts! I am planning a route to GA now, and planning to stop buy there. read more

I'm personally a friend of one member of the Abbott family and these people are really good down home people who care about customers. I have been buying produce from them for years from multiple location that they own. There is 4 locations in Spartanburg county. If you have a chance to stop in make sure to sample some of the peach cider it's awesome. read more

This stop is a tradition ! Peaches on peaches ! Fresh jams, vinegarettes, and peanuts. The nice old farmer man helped me pick out good baskets on my way home to Virginia. We use then for canning and cooking - can't be beat. read more

My wife and I are from Baltimore, Maryland. Back in the 70's we used to make a trip to Georgia once a year to pick up my daughter to bring her back home for the summer. I discovered Abbotts Farm off of I-75 and we stop by there every time we go in that state. The peaches are great and I especially like the peach cider. They have other types of cider also.
