When I said what I was looking for, I was taken straight the absinthe. I don't think i would have found it on my own. This is a pretty small store that doesn't seem to have the largest selection. The absinthe was only available in one size - it will probably last me the rest of my life. This sounds terrible, but I rarely leave the ABC with just what I went in for. I found a few other things to try. Even though the prices were clearly marked on the shelved, I still had sticker shock - the Alabama sin tax annoys the heck out of me. Check out was pleasant - we had a little chat about various drinks and then I was on my way. I still haven't made my Sazerac.

Many of their bottles weren't labeled, so I had to ask the young girl who came to help me about the their prices. Less than 3 minutes into me asking what cost what, she walks off and starts helping another customer. I waited for a few minutes thinking she was going to come back, but she just went on about her business and left me hanging. So after standing there for another 10 minutes, I realized she or any other employee weren't coming back to further assist me, so I left those cases and walked out. I'm definitely not supporting a business that will just ignore their customers like that.

The next day I was called and told the distributor had a few cases. I quickly responded with "yes, I'll take them and thank you". I hot footed it over to Liquor Express and picked up my Hoptimum. Not over the top abundance, but they are going to get you what you need especially if you find yourself in a pinch. Only interaction with staff was during check out. They were plenty nice and actually had several people trying to check out at the same time and got them taken care of pretty quickly. Prices are what you would expect at ABC. They set the bar for lowest price from my experience in Alabama. This location is no different. If you are in the area and looking for something it's worth the stop.
