I was invited to a party on the island and did not want to show up empty handed. On the other hand these were casual acquaintances and I did not want to overspend either. I asked for help choosing an appropriate wine and was steered to Steve. I told Steve my dilemma. I was looking for a Cabernet Or Merlot from Australia under $10. I was steered to Jacobs Creek wines from Australia. I chose a Cabernet Sauvignon 2019. According to Vivino, Jacobs Creek wines are bold and have a lot of fruit flavors. It scored a 3.5 rating at a price of $5.99. ABC price: $5.79. SOLD! Turns out I was the only guest who brought wine, and the bottle was empty in seconds. I went back to ABC and bought two more Jacobs Creek bottles: Another Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 and a Shiraz Cabernet 2021 (3.4 rating). Both were well received. Hats off to Steve and the staff at ABC who made me look good with a tasty wine at a bargain price. read more

ABC stores are essentially the "everything store" on the islands. Booze, snacks, sunscreen, towels...if they don't have it, you don't need it. But trust me, they have everything! Staff is very polite and will assist you on any questions you may have. We find ourselves hitting this store on a daily basis for one thing or another. Opens early, so you can get on with your day. Love this liquor store! Very organize, reasonable pricing and great selection of wines, beers, and liquor. The store is very spacious and employees are very friendly and fast at check out. My only con is I wish their wine section was labeled so they are easy to find (Cabernet Sauvignon, Whites, Reds, International section, etc) They also sell cheese and snacks. My friends here have been keeping my spirits bright (see what I did there?) AND have kept me feeling safe. I would be ashamed to admit how often I have visited but that's between me and my credit card. And while I am totally all about supporting local (they do have several local options for purchase here, FYI beers, wines, and even some local spirits), sometimes a gal just needs a good ol' cheap bottle of something bubbly. ABC has proven to be one of the most affordable liquor shops on the beach side of town. ABC's team is very helpful, in fact I never even have to ask for help finding something because they are always so diligent about offering assistance (Is it because I have a look of bewilderment? possibly...but I like to think they're just friendly.) or suggestions. On multiple occasions I have "needed" them to go check back inventory and they happily have. All liquor stores have some fun and enticing snacks. I appreciate how many local snacks ABC offers, for example local salsas and dips! This ABC definitely makes you feel like you're at the beach (because you are). They are frequently highlighting coconut rums and other tropical things that make you feel like you're on vacay. This ABC has stayed fairly busy the past couple of months but they are doing a great job ensuring social distancing requirements are met and then some. From plexi glasses in front of registers, to tape marking 6 feet apart on the ground, as well as keeping all employees masked and gloved at all times. I feel safe shopping here. read more

ABC is the go-to place on the Island for party stuff and has been such for the many years I've had a place here Good wine selection, beers, and liquors. I really like the large Cigar Humidor. Lots of brands, high to low with good prices and specials. No need to go to the "Cigar Stores" as ABC has all that and more. read more

Needed to stock up and want to support local business. Went in on a Friday night and of a dozen people in the store half weren't wearing masks. It's a small place and social distancing is difficult. Could be offset by customers wearing masks. Called the store to ask them to enforce the mask policy and employee was argumentative and denied it was a problem. Will take my business elsewhere. ABC is overpriced anyway. read more

I entered the store to find two staff people behind the counter. One left just after I arrived. I was the only person in the store. I was not acknowledged by the staff in any way. Shortly after arriving, there were several other customers that arrived. The initial staff member that left, returned. I had a few questions, and needed assistance locating a specific item. Was unable to ask the staff as they both stayed behind the counter, and seemed not to acknowledge me even as I approached the counter. I was finally able to ask the questions that I had, however the staff member didn't seem very confident in his replies. I will try a different store in the future. read more

They treat customers so poorly. Spend your money at total wines or luekens. Used to spend good $$$ at abc but they keep good product for friends and family. Good items go out the back door. Serious breach of trust here. read more

I had been shopping at the Bradenton store for 4 yrs. Fresh Market opened up 2 blocks away. ABC did not honor the price match for a wine $3.00 cheaper at Fresh Market. I will never shop there again. read more

Tried to buy some liquor the first day but was denied because I had no I'd. I'm 28 so I didnt expect to be carded. Came back the next day with Canadian drivers license and they said the couldn't accept when the told me previous that I need a drivers license. Bad customer service and completely rude.
