Why didn't I know about this place before!! A secret find for great wine & liquor. I am not kidding, this guy knows his wines. He has a killer selection at great prices. Rick is as nice as the day is long. Just wish he had a table & chair so we could open a bottle there to hear him talk about wine. He is very knowledgeable. Great champagne in the back, wow! Every where we looked, wow! Nice selection of Tequila, bourbon, Scotch... oh my. Nice quality. He also has a good selection of beer and other beverages. We had several questions about tequila and he quickly gave relevant information about how specific brands were made, where the flavor came from and how a 'true' tequila should taste like. He made some great recommendations well within an acceptable price range. Additionally he let me know he would set aside a bottle of one of my personal favorites that was scheduled for delivery. We stopped here because it's next to Agave, which we were stopping at to eat. Hubby was interested in some local stuff so we stopped to see what was here. I don't remember what we ended up buying but we did grab a few things. It's pretty neat and we would stop here again to get more local stuff. read more

Oh we had a blast here! I mean I tell you first off we did an entire photo shoot right out in front while waiting on our food. We ordered chips and awesome beef caso, brisket tamales (some of the best I have ever had in my life) shrimp tacos and chicken quesadilla. We ordered it all to go and then hit the beach! Food is made hot and fresh, right when you order made with a lot of love! I most certainly will be coming back to this place next time I am in town. If your looking for good big tacos this is not the place you might as well go to Taco Bell, but if your on a strict diet this is your place, the tacos are so small but their good, 10 dollars for 4 tacos again their freaking small, good service, the owner is nice I don't know why people say he's mean. read more

I'm ok with little local place having a higher price but when the place is preying on people because they are likely tourists it's not ok. I just paid $23 for a bottle of wine that was $9.99 a few blocks away at Walgreens liquors. That's not ok. read more

I have never taken the time to review a liquor store on a trip, but Pappy's deserves a moment of my time because this was a fantastic store. A small space but a killer selection! Being from Kentucky, I am very particular about bourbon and they had a great selection. They had one of my favorite Rums that I have never seen outside of Puerto Rico. They have Q Tonic and Ginger Ale. They had mini bottles of Scrappy's Aromatic Bitters. Some gorgeous bottles of gin. Need I go on? read more

Pappys Liquor is a great cozy liquor store with lots of selection. There were several things that I hadn't seen at my local liquor store. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and pleasant, prices were reasonable. It was within walking distance of the hotel we stayed at, do that was a plus. Definitely will be back! read more

Pappy's is a great neighborhood liquor store with good prices, a high end selection along with the more common favorites, and a super friendly owner. Pappy's carries the things that you would expect but what got my attention is the fact that Pappy's tries to stock the hard to find, fun, rare, and sought after products in their wine and spirits. I was especially impressed with his knowledge of fine Tequilas and Mezcals but I guess that it should be expected since his family owns the awesome Mexican restaurant next door. His whiskeys are pretty great too. Come check him out and stay to meet Pappy then have authentic Mexican next door with his family. You have to love that kind of family touch. read more
