This is a great store and I have been buying their winery direct Low Hanging Fruit for years and they email you coupons for 15% or sometimes 20% off or sometimes they mail you coupons but the coupons exclude items that the price ends in 7. There coupons previously applied to the Low Hanging Fruit but today I purchased the wine and the discount no longer applied because they changed the price of it to end in 7 so just be aware when you use their coupons in the future. read more

Even with their massive selection, it turns out they carry no cheap malt liquor at all! This is my 4th experience at this location that makes me question why I keep returning; usually it's just because I can't find a single employee on the floor. But TIL they won't let you purchase unless everyone in your group has an ID to prove they're 21+. But if this is the store rule shouldn't they be checking ID at the door?? Why can I come shopping with my husband and then he gets refused the right to purchase because I'm purse-less and therefore wallet-less and obviously ID-less. I order beer (via Door Dash) and have it delivered. 100% of the time, if it's Total Wine, it's freakin hot upon arrival. (Compare that to 100% of the time from a convenience store it's cold.) Let's be honest I probably visit here at least once a week. They have some of the best wine selections at the best pricing. They also always have the 12 pack of jai alai for my husband. The staff is beyond helpful and always engage and offer suggestions on new wines to try. They usually have wine tastings featuring some brands and varietals that I may not have tried if it wasn't for the tasting. This place is great! So great, I really don't want to go. This is a good way to spend money you had no intention of spending. The staff is attentive and knows their stuff. Everyone was really nice and I had a great conversation with the copper tail rep, Will. So nice! And knowledgeable. I came for a sulfite free wine and a nice cab. With help, I got to find both easily and I got to try one wine and 2 beers. Everyone was wearing a mask and keeping a distance. The variety is so big that sometimes it's overwhelming. My Fiancé and I absolutely love Total Wine and earning rewards. Regardless of having memberships elsewhere that is also conveniently close to our home, we still go out of our way to shop at Total Wine. Out of all the locations I've been to in Tampa Bay I've never been told "I couldn't take certain boxes." As we come and spend good money and have been for months now preparing for our wedding, today I was in this location purchasing alcohol and getting boxes and was nearly yelled at because I wasn't taking boxes off the only available top shelf for "customers." Oddly confused because once again I've never had this issue I was told the other boxes are for customers who buy large quantities of wine. This certainly may be the rule but I've never had issues at any other location and have never been yelled at regarding this matter. It was rude, distasteful and out of all the boxes Total Wine is receiving I find it hard to believe a loyal paying customer couldn't have a few boxes that are apparently so valuable. My boyfriend and I went here today to get some wine for a date night, I've never been in a Total Wine so I was amazed with the selections! Unfortunately we have never felt so unwelcomed by an associate in the store named Mel. Mel from the beginning just stared at us and asked for ID which was fine, my boyfriend handed her two forms of ID since his one is a little messed up. She proceeded to give nothing but bad customer service about this and we were being nothing but patient paying customers. I let the manager know his associate was extremely rude and she looked at me in disbelief and denied then followed with "i'm sorry YOU feel that way" and reluctantly checked us out since all IDs were valid, then said nothing to us as we left. Hate to do it. Really. However, my experience the last two times (and only two) I've been have been awful. Go in looking for a specific cider. A very popular, year round one, actually. Both times I've checked the website and see it was in stock. When I get there, the shelf is empty. First time around, one employee scoured the place looking for what their database said was there, perhaps it was just misplaced, but it was never found. Cut to 3 weeks later, I check the website again, come back to see that the shelf is still empty. Ask an employee for help, and he doesn't try at all. In fact, tells me that someone special ordered a 6-pack so that's all they have. Where are the other 8 that are said to be in stock? If it needed to be special ordered, wouldn't you see an issue with stocking the inventory after 3+ weeks? read more

Of the Three Tampa Area Total Wines this is my favorite. Interestingly enough the other two are more convenient for me as depending on the day or week, I pass by those two on the way back from work. The St Pete location I have to make a special trip to, usually on the weekends. I really like the staff here and I have found a couple of wine experts who parallel my tastes wether it be a $10 bottle or a $100 bottle. The store is huge, clean and easy to navigate and it's filled with all kinds of booze and booze accessories. It is my favorite store, I just feel like filling up my shopping cart with some of everything they have. Also when they have those coupons I make sure I get my money's worth, especially those 20% off wine coupons (they used to have 25% coupons but I have not seen one in a few years). Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. There is usually some samplings of wine you can try as well as wine and beer tasting classes. Like I said this is my favorite location. The Clearwater one is my second favorite, it's next to the mall so if it's rush hour or the holiday season traffic is an issue.It is also a huge store with good parking. My least favorite is the Tampa location, mostly because of it's location. Depending on the time of day it takes a while to get in and then to get out is also a hassle. The store is smaller and it's harder to find help, I feel the customer service is just not as good as the other two locations. I go to all three locations because the prices are just too good. They don't carry all the wines I like, I do sometimes have to go to ABC or B-21 for some of those special varietals, but 80% of the stuff I like I can find here. Solid store! read more

I would absolutely never go back to this location. The manager (Fred, I believe) was so unbelievably disrespectful to me as well as the rest of the staff was towards my two friends. I went out to the car to check on my dog briefly and my friends were immediately approached while still shopping and told that my ID was required before they could even begin to check out. Disneyworld for Boozers...err I mean....I love this place! We went the other night and we literally spent 2 hours in the store. We spent most of our time in the vodka and beer sections. If you are looking for something different or hard to find, this is the place to go. We found several craft beers that we have been wanting to try along with a lot of our current favorites. Prices are decent. You may be able to find some things cheaper, but you won't find this big of a selection anywhere local.
