I like how the teachers take the time to listen and treat each child as an individual. Yes there are rules and structure but they know there is "wiggle room" within that. When my son had problems paying attention they had multiple tools to try to help him. He still has his days (they're 4. Each of the teachers know my son by name, even the ones in the other classrooms who don't interact with him as often. Each classroom has an indescribable homey feel. I have also been very pleased by the variety of activities. The teachers take the kids outside, create age-appropriate art projects, and sing songs. Finally, I really appreciate the level of individualized communication from the teachers. We get an information sheet about his day at pick-up. In addition to what you might expect (times of diaper changes, length of nap, etc.), there is always a rundown of his daily activities. My spouse and I love reading through these in the evening - the teachers clearly pay attention to our son. I love hearing about how great of a day he had and that he was all smiles. We also receive emails over the weekend letting us know of the many events going on. I very much appreciate how he is treated as an individual and how much his teachers clearly care.

They let us visit a couple of times before our son started to ease our anxiety. Our son gives a big smile every time we drop him off! We can check on his day with their online platform and the director is always available to answer our questions anytime we call. When we pick him up we get a daily report sheet of diaper changes, feedings, songs they sang, books they read, and any other activities from the day. We highly recommend Briarwood!

My daughter has been coming here for about 6 months and I couldn't be happier. She is only like 20…read moremonths old but they have planned lessons for the first half of the day so its more like school than daycare. Then they have lunch and nap time and the afternoon is play time. If its nice out they all go outside in the back which is very secure and has a jungle gym and other various toys. When its raining or cold they have a big room that they call the "movement room" and its like a mini gymnasium that the kids can run around and play in. They also have different activities during different holidays and even held a picture day with a photographer like they do in grade/high school. The teachers are all really friendly and genuinely care about your child. Lastly and one of my favorite things is that they utilize an app that allows your child's teacher to send you updates throughout the day and they even send you pictures- it always makes me smile when I am at work and get a notification that they posted a picture, it really makes my day!!
