We have been going for years and to be honest I don't know why. The staff up front is rude and they just hang up on you if they don't like your question. They treat you like an irritant, and it's very off putting. I'm finding random charges on our bill that never happened. You really should look elsewhere before making them your child's primary doctor. It's really disheartening when they're so horrible and this has to be done for your child. I thought I'd never see the day I'd have a negative review of this place. 13 years and 7 kids later I must admit the service from check-in to the doctor has completely been nothing but horrific. (Lenese who works the phones) not sure if that's the correct spelling Andre and Brenda don't represent the mission nor passion the team once had. My 1 year old was experiencing breathing difficulties as a result they'd given her Tylenol (fever medicine) and supposedly the breathing would regulate and it didn't. The staff stated they'd like to test her for COVID in which my wife phoned me and we both agreed not to have it done. Andre NEVER introduced himself or anything for all we know he was impersonating a nurse. After my wife notified the staff of our decision "not that she even knew Andre name until today" came in with a form after learning of our decision for her to sign to test for OTHER respiratory complications. This form had three boxes to select from one which stated COVID-19 in which we left unchecked. When my wife asked for clarity Andre huffed as if we were an inconvenience and our concerns or questions bothered. He stated "this isn't a Covid test" just a test for other respiratory infections. We went along with the test based on Andre "who specializes in this field" word. Shortly after Brenda suggested due to air not reaching the bottom of our daughter belly we should take her to Hughes Spaulding. Today we received a follow up call stating that our daughters test results came back with being positive for both Covid and another respiratory infection. They didn't provide any additional detail on how to treat either or whether a prescription would be provided or scheduling a follow-up. Immediately my wife becomes upset and calls me stating what was told to her via the doctor office and test results I decided to phone ABC pediatrics where Lenese (possibly misspelled) greeted me as if again I was an inconvenience to her working the front desk. While expressing my concern she continuously questioned my intelligence disregarding my feelings and concern as a father regarding my daughters health. They without our consent of knowledge tested her against our belief and when we asked ANDRE he verified it wasn't for the test that they'd provided us results for. Lenese mentioned "your wife signed the document". Lenese thought it was okay to make mention "sir you weren't here" why physically I wasn't however all 13 years that they've been our provider this was the ONLY appt I was unable to make. Nevertheless I was on the phone during the entire appointment. After going back and forth with a receptionist I realized my concerns and anger was above her job description and pay grade and when asked to speak with someone above her she stated "no one is available you can leave a message" to add I've dealt with her attitude 2x before this one. Lenese refused to provide me names of any leads or additional help that was above her. The call ended at this point when I felt the disrespect in me wanting to come out. I dialed my wife back and explained what was told to me with Lenese on the phone to hear my wife side. Yet again Lenese figured disrespecting us by over talking and being argumentative was her way of expressing her appreciation towards us as pretty much long standing patients. When we requested a copy of the sign form Lenese stated "I won't be able to talk give you this form" repeating you signed for the COVID test. We asked who was in charge Lenese provided the names of Tracy and Amy and their schedules of when we can expect them to be in. Dr. Hoffler is our usual provider and we've never ever had an issue or concern. Even when the wait time was longer than expected we didn't mind because we knew the treatment superseded the wait. However in his absence our documents had fresh ink of his signature which left us perplexed. I get times have changed but the mission and message of patients being priority should remain A1. Now we're here with a 1 year old no doctor advice ... no treatment plan... and everyone has an excuse. read more

I have used ABC Pediatrics for 10+ years now. In those 10+ years, I have had some good and not so great experiences with this practice. The office staff is always very friendly, nice, and soft spoken. They do their best to schedule you in when an illness pops up. The waiting rooms are always neatly kept up and have a good bit of space which is nice especially when you have a sick kid(s). As for the Drs, this is where I have had (in the past) some not so great experiences. The Dr. that we use here on a regular basis. She is phenomenal, very understanding, has great "bed side manner" and very willing to help us out as it relates to governmental issues (i.e. Medicade forms, etc.) as I have two kids with multiple special needs. I have also taken my son here on THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS where the Dr said that I did not need to take my son to Scottish Rite and I ended up taking him and was admitted into Scottish Rite that night. My "gut" feeling won out as it should for any parent. That was troubling to me. However, the Drs I saw were not my main Dr and I will not be seeing those other Drs again. ABC Pediatrics is GREAT for basic pediatric medicine such as colds, illnesses, flu shots, physicals, filling out forms, etc. If you have a child with any sort of medical issue(s), I would say consult with the specialists 1st no matter how insignificant the issue may be because ABC Pediatrics is just not equipped to deal with it. With that being said, I still like ABC Pediatrics and I will use them for basic needs. I would recommend this practice, but be cautious, be diligent, and don't be afraid to question the Doctors. It could mean the difference between an illness and a hospital stay. read more

Over time I've noticed that even if your child has an emergency, it takes them quite a while to return your call. Even today, I wasn't too far from their clinic and I was expecting a call back because I suspect my son has severe allergies to the high pollen lately, they took around 30 minutes to return my call. Whenever I've had issues in other towns whether it was for me or for someone that I was caring for, we/I received a callback promptly. To me, I find that there's no sense of urgency, pre covid and especially post covid. read more

We love Dr. Ballay! She is great with my kids. We transferred a few years ago and make the 45 min. drive to see her. She's always available when we need her and the staff is always friendly and responsive. read more

I have been coming to ABC pediatric for 15yrs. since my daughter was born. Dr. Hoffler which is an excellent doctor made a great impression. Over the years this place has deteriorated including the customer service. The carpet is still the same, the pillows that you sit in the back as you visit, and kid books are all still the same. I can't imagine the germs that is lurking all over that place. The only people that you see on your visits are nurse practitioner's. My issue is I have great insurance and I kept getting billed for labs that was not taken, also who bill $65 just for a common cold. I as the billing personnel, "what was I being billed for" she could not give me a clear explanation. I also told her I may need to find another pediatrician she stated, "that was my choice". I was shock by her comment. She did not care that she was losing a long time customer, nor did she care to find the reason why. I have been coming there since 2003 with both of my kids. I rather take my kids to a provider that is closer to my resident. read more
