when i arrived yesterday and checked in they wanted medicare's yearly deductible up front. i told them they would have to bill me i do not have $275. AIM has always billed me in the past and i pay what i owe in $50 increments. that's how i have to do it. billing did not care. they invited me to leave since i had no money. they do not care about patients only money!!! and i didn't owe the entirety of the $275 because i've been to the dr this year already. if they had simply billed me they would have figured this out. but a blanket $275 due up front regardless of circumstances stinks and is wrong!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Nobody will assist me except to tell me that she has to come in for an appointment and there is not even availability for three weeks if I could get her here. Meanwhile, she isn't safe. I still went back to them because I had an ear infection and met, unfortunately, Dr. Cooper, who has a prejudice against certain people or a very strict attitude that comes from a different era of thinking . You're better off just letting this guy retire and never go to him. This place makes their money off of boutique care on their second floor and pharmaceutical sales reps. You can go to any other Piedmont or Emory pop-up and get better service. Dr. Cooper is an incompetent doctor who will write you anything. His predecessor had written me so much Adderall by the time she retired that I was left to navigate a replacement. The assertion was that no one would continue care with me there. Dr. Pisarello left me to find my own psychiatrist while my mother was in hospice. Dr. Cooper has never experienced a medication shortage or grief. The nurse from California would not stop asking me where my name was from and was surprised that one of my parents, my mother who passed away and was not foreign! When you keep asking stupid, racist questions about where someone came from, don't. Don't. Keep your curiosity to your off hours. I had an earache, which the doctor confirmed. Thank God I record my appointments because I'm going to take this to the news. You would not like people asking about Mom or Dad if they just passed away. The only positive about this office is the NP Jana Ludwig. She was great and thorough she read my medical records before treating me and referred to them as we discussed my well visit physical/first visit. The BAD, after my visit I was called by the office and scheduled for an appointment to go over my bloodwork. The only issue there was Nothing wrong with my bloodwork. They just wanted to collect the co-pay. The NP asked why I had come back. Time and money wasted. Then they tried to schedule another appointment and I got the feeling this is policy as I was told you can just cancel it after you leave. THEY DON'T Answer their phone consistently. Now that I know they appointment hustle. I tried to schedule a annual wellness appointment for my husband. I was told he needed an initial appointment to discuss things like his medicine and health on the first visit then come back for a physical. I repeated my husband does not take medication, he's healthy atheistic, we just need a PCP. They told me it could not be done. They are medical insurance scammers. The doctors may be great, but their business practices are predatory. Who would want to come to a medical doctor to chat about how healthy they are, only to come back the next week for a blood draw? What can I say good nothing in order to get your results of test even if a few are out of range you have to set appointment up to go in a discuss what plan so another doc visit another copay. Also go to my chart sent 3 messages to my NP and never replied also called never received a call back 2 weeks later call again nurse calls back and told me to make another appointment. Then she said she would talk to NP and call me back in a few mins well needless to say this all started in Sept it is now Nov 7 and have yet to have a call back. Well after going to this place today, I would not recommend it to anyone. My Dr. Was out, made an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner. Upon arrival, oh we don't take your insurance. Wrong, they do! Then they order a stat Ct, but can't advise were to get it and refuse to call and get pre approval. Oh and not to mention the unprofessional comments about me while on a 3 way call with the insurance company. I been seeing my same doctor for 15+ years. When it comes to blood work nobody draws blood better than their blood lab. Whenever someone has tried to draw blood from me my entire life it has been extremely difficult. This blood lab makes it look easy and always find the vein the first time. They are always super friendly and nice. read more

They are terrified of the sick even if it's allergies and not Covid related. If there are no parking spaces left for the sick to be seen in their cars they leave you in the rain and the elements next to stray cats on a rickety table to be seen. They won't come near you. To be allowed in is left up to the the discretion of the providers, yet it's not the provider who greets you initially. They are a shameful excuse for health care providers. Where do I start? The care I received from the PA (Jerrica M)I transitioned to at the practice was poor and she treated me unfairly. She misrepresented the purpose and outcomes of a telemedicine visit and refused to truly listen to my concerns when she didn't prescribe the medication I needed refilled. While she acknowledged during the visit that she'd refill my medication, she later changes course without communicating to me and refuses to admit she made a mistake. She also had the nerve to gently imply I had an issue recommending I go to another provider to deal with the issue she assumed I had. In general I dislike bad customer service. It especially has no place in a patient/clinician setting. I realize the practice has other providers, but I'll not be going back to Alpha. The PA really put a bad taste in my mouth. Thank God this practice is not the only one. If you do decide to use Alpha, please avoid working with the PA. She doesn't care about you! read more

Good Evening, I will start out by saying,, COMMUNICATION is terrible. During the event of my first visit, I was treated very profession by my NP, Andrew Sanchez. Except for the communication is so bad, you don't ever want to go for a second visit. As I was told by the check out receptionist that the referral doctor would contact me to make an appointment. As I waited patiently nearly 3 weeks. I sent an message on "MY Chart",, for my NP Andrew Sanchez, the office checked it but no reply,, I called back to this office only to see what is going on.. I was told by the front office manager, Christine, which was very rude nor helpful. I never received the referral's number from the check out desk.. I will be seeking a new Doctor's office due to this office manager, Christine. Oh, did I mention that the COMMUNICATION IS TERRIBLE. .Never in my life had been to a unorganized healthcare provider. Keep in mind, that Andrew Sanchez were very helpful and professional during my visit However, the lack of communication and trust by your Front desk manager, Christine was unacceptable. I have experienced this uncaring and hateful Christine for the last time. I will no longer trust this office with my health issues.. I am being mindful and hoping she doesn't put my confidential information out on the streets. She actually didn't care if I left the practice. So sad for a professional business to have such incompetent staff and no communication... I wished someone would have warned me first.. I wasted a first visit on this practice.. I have had the worse experience ever at this practice. I had some testing done which I was told would take about 5 days to get the results back. After about 7 days I called and left a voicemail asking for my results. I did not receive a call back. Another week went by and I called again and left another message and no call back. After 2 more days I called and pressed the option to speak to the receptionist who took a message and passed it onto the doctor who had seen me who was Dr. Melinda Chaves. Her assistant calls me back and gives me the results to part of my test which one of them happen to be positive and no one thought it would be a good idea to call me in a timely manner to give me the results. First mistake! I asked about the rest of my tests and was told they had to be reviewed by the doctor who was with a patient. So the assistant had Dr. Watts review the rest of my results and proceeds to call me back and give me the results over the phone. I was given such horrible news over the phone. I demanded to speak to Dr. Watts or any other MD and no one spoke to me. I was told I could come in and see a Dr. in the morning. I was hysterical. I receive a call back about 40 minutes later from Dr. Melinda Chaves who told me I was given the wrong results. I did not have what was told to me that I had. The tests were reviewed by Dr. Watts and were absolutely incorrect. I never received a call from Dr. Watts to apologize for the incorrect information that was passed on to the assistant and ok'd to give me the results over the phone. The story is long but all I have to say is that I went to the office the next day to speak with Dr. Watts and she did not have the audacity to apologize to me for her mistake. She came into the room with an attitude. She was not sympathetic of the situation and the distress she had put me through. She did not ask what she can do to make things better. SHE DID NOTHING!!! She got upset because I offended her and walked out of the room. She left the computer screen up with about 20 patients personal information on the screen. So I took a picture of it and will be filling a HIPPA violation complaint. Think twice before you go to this place. They are very unprofessional and treat their patients like they are scum. Ive had other bad experiences in the same office with other Drs. ive seen. They are very dismissive and uncaring of ones health. I spoke to the practice owner Dr. Betsy Horton and all she did was make excuses for Dr. Watts behavior and told me that she has a hard time apologizing to her patients. That is just her character but behind the scenes she was very upset at her mistake. What good does that do to the patient if she isn't professional/ethical enough to do the right thing and apologize to her patients? That is a bad reputation for her as a "DOCTOR" and the practice she works for. Needless to say they lost 2 patients because of their poor patient care. read more

I am new to the area and was in search of a physician. Waited two weeks for an appt. I arrived to my appt on time. My insurance provider hadn't changed my Primary Care Physician in the system yet. At the front desk, Ms. Rodriguez had me fill out all the paperwork, took my insurance card and ID. They even asked for my copay. They then told me to call my insurance provider for them to change my PCP in their system. I was called to the front desk 30 minutes later by another lady and told that Dr. Watts said I had to reschedule because it was 30 minutes past my appt. I arrived on time! The next appt available wasn't until another two weeks and the other lady behind the desk was so unsympathetic and nonchalant. She stated you can pay $300 today or reschedule. The next available appt wasn't until around two weeks again. I kindly asked them to cancel it and I would find another doctor. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Ms. Rodriguez was very professional and tried to help but the other black lady at the front desk was horrible and unconcerned for this to be a doctor's office. She had shredded all my paperwork even before I asked or got my copay back. Another thing, when I called for the appt, they never asked why I wanted to come in or if I had any medical issues. However, when I got there, they were sure to give me info (a whole folder) on all of there Med Spa treatments. Overall, a very frustrating experience! 11/13/19 As an update to the response given below; my insurance provider was very helpful, but before we could complete the process, I was told I had to reschedule and wait a few weeks. However, it still remains that the unprofessionalism of that one front desk employees was a disservice to your business. You may possibly have the best physicians, but with "gatekeepers" like that, it hurts business. It would be beneficial for her to understand that she is the face/representation of the practice when new patients come through the door. Her attitude was horrible and unsympathetic especially if she has chosen to work in the medical profession. The DMV would better suit her. read more

I have an appointment in February at 8:30 in the a.m. it was a long line to check in also there were students in schools waiting to make sure that was at the right location checking wait time was long but the secretaries were nice I don't know about any other doctors are but I had an appointment with Monica Watts her nurse have a attitude and so does she actually had to call the police to get out that up examining room I'm totally disabled in a wheelchair and they don't like people in wheelchairs I guess but I know anywhere where is a lot of black females it's messy after talking to the office manager think she could rectify the situation I got a letter saying not to come back to the facility but she made me think that office manager that I could see another doctor there I was late for my appointment I supposed to have blood drawn but I had to go to the office manager to get this done I was trying to get refills on my medicine had to go to the office manager to get that done also totally unprofessional Dr Wallace says I would recommend this place to my dog do not go. read more
