He also answers my endless stream of questions thoughtfully, never giving me the impression that I am annoying him or taking up his precious time. He was instrumental in helping me through a very dangerous and scary period of illness. I was quickly having trouble breathing and becoming feverish. He ran tests and gave me a prescription to cure bronchitis...which it did, but I was still unable to breathe. It turns out that I had developed environmental/allergic asthma. During this scary month, I knew that I was in good hands with Dr. Farah. Furthermore, he recommended specialists who share the same characteristics. My asthma is now under control. I have recommended Dr. Farah to my husband and my close friends. He is an internist, so his specialty is adult care, not pediatrics. Luckily I was 3-4 mins away by that point, so I arrived and the lady told me my "appointment was already cancelled". I wish they wouldn't accept new patients if they didn't want to be understanding. I have a great deal of anxiety in dealing with doctors and I had been doing lots of positive affirmations to get myself ready for a new doctor, now I'm just going to love my life and hope for the best. She recently told me I should see a sleep specialist because I complained I was gaining weight and felt I never slept well, because I kept waking up. She was right on! The young lady at the reception desk was lovely and made me feel extremely comfortable despite my anxiety surrounding visiting the doctors office. The doctor himself however was one of the most rude and unprofessional individuals that I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I came here the day after I had a similar experience at Lake Ridge Internal medicine, hoping things would go differently - they did not. I requested a prescription that my telehealth psychiatrist had referred me for, granted it's a controlled substance but I came with every type of proof necessary to show that it was a legitimate referral. The moment he asked me which medication I wanted he ended our conversation and ushered me out of the door without asking a single question or giving me a chance to show him my documents. Our conversation lasted no more than 30 seconds. I am a grown man currently sat in my car in tears because of how frustrated I am about the way he refused to listen to me, and how embarrassed I feel about being ushered out of here in front of other patients and staff - all while he was telling the receptionist to "take his name off!!". I suffer from social anxiety disorder - the reason for my visit - and an experience such as this is all it takes to push someone like me completely over the edge. This place may be good for you if you have any physical conditions, but don't step foot in here if you expect your mental health to be taken seriously, or even to be listened to at all.
