They refused to follow building regulations regarding electrics. Took no care. Eventually took Citizen's Advice and Solicitor's advice and stopped the work. They turned up after 3 weeks to take their tools but childishly dumped a ton of gravel on front drive so unable to get wheelchair past. AVOID. January 2021 update Mr Geraghty, the owner, ignored phone calls, all letters and then the court. He has now been issued with a County Court Judgement against him. We were stupid and naive in trusting Mr Geraghty in paying upfront for materials which never arrived and of course, despite the court order, has not been repaid. I think we were lucky that he did not carry on because it would have cost us far more in the long term to put things right.

The company falsley claimed to be registered with professional bodies. Money was demanded for work that had not been done. Work undertaken was of very poor quality. The serious allegations against Mersey Builders was upheld. The company was fined.
