To achieve a cohesive and well planned garden, I met with several area gardeners to get comparable quotes and ideas, some who have been in the business for 15+ years. But when I described that I was interested in achieving a more breezy and romantic looking garden, which meant that many plants and bushes that are commonly seen in Florida gardens could not be used, I got a lot of push back and most strongly recommended that I keep existing bushes and hedges that I believed were keeping me from achieving one aesthetic. Then I met with Andrew and Brian of Happy Trees. Andrew is not only a landscape designer, but he listened to, and met all my objectives, which were many including creating a garden that did not attract bees or butterflies, or include anything poisonous, or any item that couldn't be touched with a bare hand (thus no spiky plants or trees). Andrew directed the design and introduced me to plants that blow in the breeze, have unique flowers, and are beautiful and colorful additions to my front yard garden. When you hire Happy Trees, you get Andrew and Brian to work directly with you through the entire process--everything from planning the job, communicating ideas and next steps, and actually doing the planting on site. I don't like to write negative reviews but I have given this company every chance to fix the…read moreproblems but over 6 months later, am still being ignored. I paid over $2000 to clean up and relandscape a small side and area behind a screened in patio. Rep was attentive and prompt with the quote and even during the one day job. But once they left, the problems began. They did not lay down weed barrier which meant weeds started popping up immediately. In fact, creeping weeds I had never seen in my yard before started popping up. Although I clearly stated I knew nothing about landscaping and did not want high-maintenance plantings, every single item they planted became overgrown and out of control within the first two months. Not only that, 3 large plants died in the first month and when doing an inventory, they failed to plant 3 others I paid for. I called all this in to Natural Wonders and was assured it would be taken care of. In fact, I had been given the option of monthly maintenance and assumed we would address the problems once I could get them here for that never heard from them again even after repeated messages were left. They may be great with the design work but if you do not have a green thumb and are depending on them to follow up on problems or even for monthly service, I wouldn't recommend. I definitely didn't get what I paid for and would never use them again.

Disappointed with the overall experience. I had turf, travertine and outside lights installed…read more The job didn't start on the date agreed upon and needed multiple visits back to fix issues that I identified. The majority of the dates agreed upon for the fix were always delayed without proactive notice from Jack. Most recently one of the lights stopped working. Jack knowingly sent a replacement light that was completely different. It's smaller and shorter than the other lights and the bulb is yellow not white. Jack offered a resolution and we agreed on a date and just like my past experiences the resolution and date will not be met. In the spirit of a full review, the lights look good but I am disappointed to already have an issue in less than 7 months from installation. The turf was installed with the seams facing two different directions. Jack did install a replacement piece with the seams facing the right way. However, there are still two additional pieces with the seams showing but I have chosen to accept that even though I shouldn't. The main reason I got turf installed and explained this to Jack was so my child could enjoy it and the turf installed gets so hot during the day that no one can stand on it. The concrete used to install the travertine has concrete left exposed and has never been fixed. Jack was very responsive when I first contacted him and seemed knowledgeable which is why I chose him over other companies. I wish I could say that I got the experience I expected for a job that cost me a little over 9k but unfortunately I have not. The amount of time I have had to spend sending pictures, videos, emails and follow up calls is unacceptable. I thought to write a review multiple times but always gave the benefit of the doubt but now with another issue and another experience of Jack not following thru on his word I felt I had to write review and let people know about my experience. Update: As of today, the resolution discussed a month ago has not been completed. In addition to that I have not received an answer to my calls, texts or emails.
