I needed to have some maintenance done to my home very quickly as I received a violation notice from my HOA for a missing shutter. However, I also wanted to get my home ready for sale. Lesley and Alan were great. They came to my home and walked through and gave me suggestions on the items I pointed out that needed repair and pointed out other areas that could be improved. Alan kept me in the loop every step of the way as the work progressed. The only downside is they made my home look so good it's going to be hard to actually put it up for sale. Thanks Again. Totally my fault for paying before fully reviewing the work. Great initial response to my post seeking help on Angie's List. Tasks were requested...snaking a toilet, replacing wood trim, caulking window, power washing exterior of home and upgrading an electrical breaker. The jobs that was completed satisfactorily is snaking the toilet and the power washing of the home. Job started on July 3rd and he was last seen August 3rd. That's 31 calendar days. Owner has not returned hand rail that he was supposed to fix and reattach. Overall poor follow through, tasks are incomplete Had to call several times to find out when he would come back to complete project. I'm giving 3 stars as a midway point for his 1st service he provided for me. He did a good job with my 1st service. When I asked for a 2nd service, I did not receive responses for days at a time. When I finally received a date to come out, he had a death in the family which I understand. The problem was he did not contact me until 7pm, when our appt was at 11am. After the funeral he said he would contact me on Sunday and he still hasn't contacted me. I think he has too many things going on so I'll use another contractor. I really think the lack of communication is a 1 star and most of that was before the family emergency. read more

This business is the best, hands down. I was home, but living in a basement apartment has its challenges, one being the cell phone service. Allen came by but I missed the appointment. I immediately emailed on yelp and asked if there was any way he could come back. So later in the day, he came back out, and accommodated me. The extra service charge was more than reasonable for his time. Then the charge came off my bill anyway, so it was more than fair. I have dealt with handymen before, contractors, painters etc, so I have a general idea of what the fees should be to assemble mass produced, inexpensive furniture. Other businesses try to take advantage once they see a woman. A few weeks ago, I started my search on Yelp for the (very small) jobs I had, which basically consisted of putting some Walmart/Ikea type furniture together. The people that got back to me had 2 servicemen coming out, when there was no need to, if they bothered to read the job, then hourly rates of $200 and something dollars!! I was getting quotes of $500 when Allen came and the same day mounted my mirror to the wall in about 20 minutes(just him, no other technician was needed). The mirror is heavy and once I fill it with jewelry, gets even heavier, so the anchors it came with were not sufficient. Allen provided the extra anchors that the mirror required to stay on the wall, he had them in his van. My bookshelf, unfortunately, I had lost the screws too, but once I get the new ones, I will call ABH so they can put it together. Thank you for not lying and saying the job needed 2 workers, like other businesses on Yelp did! There are too many SCAMMERS on Yelp, and Craigslist is even worse!! Moving forward, this is the business I will continue to use. If you want HONEST, fast, and the job done right, then look no further. read more

Excellent service! We contacted ABH for a quote on replacing our kitchen faucet. They responded immediately with an all inclusive flat rate fee and let us know they could come out the same day. Allen showed up early and graciously agreed to wait out front until we got home. Once we arrived he came in and went right to work. He knocked the job out in no time and charged the exact fee that was quoted. The project turned out great and we could not be happier with the service provided by ABH.
