After careful research of local painting companies on Google and Yelp, I was able to narrow down 3 with impeccable customer reviews. I was also given another company contact info from a neighbor who had just had their home painted. I had all 4 businesses come and give me estimates. I chose Jesus P&D because with all perfect reviews being equal amongst the 4, their estimate stood out as being much more reasonable than the other 3 companies. I absolutely made the right decision. Jesus P&D painted my entire first floor (family room, kitchen, breakfast room, foyer, upstairs hallway, LR, DR, mudroom, solarium, office, powder room), one upstairs bedroom (including en suite bathroom, closet), entire basement (including bar, side game room, bedroom and bathroom). The entire duration of the job was 5 days. Jesus himself and his painters were extremely professional and did an amazing job. They used Sherwin Williams paint, and based upon our request to minimize the level of paint fumes/toxicity, the Harmony line was ordered (often used in schools and hospitals) which was only slightly more expensive per gallon. His team of painters was extremely neat and meticulous with their prep work to ensure surfaces and furniture were protected. The quality of their work is exceptional and I was shocked on a daily basis to see how neat and clean everything was at the end of each work day; as if no one was in my house for hours that day. Jesus showed up every morning and at the end of each painting day to check on the status and touch base with us. He reviewed with us what would be happening each day, how many guys would be coming the following day, etc. His time estimate to complete the work was dead on accurate, not needing additional paint or time. His team was really professional and I felt very comfortable being home alone with them each day (which may not be important to some customers, but it is something I do think about as woman while my husband's at work and my kids are in high school). Jesus Painting & Drywall is an exceptional business and it's no surprise to me why they have perfect Yelp ratings. They've just earned another perfect rating from me. I've already recommended this business to my neighbor, the same neighbor who had used a different company and had given me their contact info. Jesus will be coming back when the weather warms up to do some exterior painting in the backyard (deck, brick facade, concrete steps). He called back fast and came by the next day for an estimate. Right away we could tell that he is a man with attention to detail. He asked us questions as well to make sure we were clear in what we wanted (I've never overseen a painting job before so I appreciate the thoroughness). He also noticed some drywall bad work done by a previous contractor and brought it to our attention. If he hadn't done that, that would have resulted in more expenses for the future, so again, he pays attention to detail. Jesus came by the next day with his team and they did an amazing job! why are only 5 stars available!? needed to strip out and replace drywall (and recover from the annoyance from) a small rodent problem in a basement wall. jesus was fair, friendly and easy from start to finish. what challenge do you have: * need a quote after hours? * need (fairly) short notice to start and do work? * need a fair price? * need to coordinate around another contractor(s) working on the same area at the same time? * need to know you won't be gouged if the job runs longer in time than expected? jesus' answer to these - and probably any other curve ball you want to throw - is "no problem." he checked each box. finding a "handyman" for smaller jobs seems to (and can often) be a recipe for disaster and disappointment. especially without a recommendation or past experience, right? jesus is neither. i was more than skeptical and more than ready to deal with nonsense when i started checking yelp for companies. when you need someone for drywall and paint work, homeowners should take only three steps: 1. hire this guy 2. be beyond satisfied when he's finished your job beyond expectations. 3. repeat. read more

Jesus Painting & Drywall just completed painting the entire exterior of my cape cod home. His team painted the brick, siding, deck, trim, gutters, front door and porch. I am very pleased with the quality of the work performed. I didn't know that you could paint siding to make it look new. I've seen disasters with other homes where the paint on siding bleeds onto the brick (very unattractive). With that said, the paint job turned out beautiful. My daughter says the house looks new. I have a pretty old townhouse that I have painted a few times myself (anything from bright yellow to dark grey)and I had done some bad patchwork and put several holes and cracks into the drywall. It has been HARD to find good handymen and these guys did an amazing job cleaning up my messes and making the walls look as close to new as they can for a 40+ year old home. Additionally, Jesus was very responsive. As soon as I reached out, he called. He came the next day for an estimate and started the week after as I requested. Jesus and his crew are excellent to work with. I bought a house and moved to Columbia, Maryland back in February 2022. My basement needed a renovation at that time. I know carpentry and I'm in the electrical trade so I did what I can do to save and stay within my budget. I did the demo, wood framing, electrical, insulation, and hired plumber to hook up water. However, the drywall is too much for me because my basement is more than the average size space. I requested a quote from different contractors and found their quote the most reasonable. Jesus was very responsive and interactive through the entire process of having our drywall prepared for paint. He was the first to schedule a free estimate, and arrived early to give a fair price. We were surprised at the cost, but it was in the same ballpark or lower than other estimates we received. After agreeing to a price, the work started the very next day and was completed in two days, with drywall compound applied the first day and sanded the next after given sufficient time to dry. He checked in at the completion of work both days to make sure we were happy and to set expectations for the following day. 5/29/20: I built a deck 3 years ago and hired a local group who works in the neighborhood to stain it. They did a horrible job. They misestimated and ran out of materials and really cut corners. I was unable to get them to fixux it. Then a few weeks ago I saw Jesus and his crew doing my neighbor's deck. It looked great so I had them look at mine and give me a price. They worked for about 4 days straight to not only paint pretty much everything, but fix 4 different drywall issues. I had water leaking from outside into my bedroom wall, a stupid rat tried to live above my bathroom and destroyed that ceiling, water damage/mold in my laundry room, and I had a decent sized hole in my front room ceiling from an old leaky pipe, and they fixed ALL OF IT - looks brand new! I highly recommend Jesus Painting and Drywall. We were having popcorn ceiling removed from our kitchen. Jesus was able to come out the next day after I called him to give me an estimate for the job, which ended up being the least expensive estimate that I got. He was able to have a painter come out a few days later and do the job, which included removing the popcorn, plastering a new ceiling up, then coming back the next day to paint both the ceiling and the walls in the kitchen. The walls look fresh and clean with smooth, even coverage, and the cabinets were nicely updated with a modern finish that really brightened up the space.
