Initially, my first-time patient experience was to find a suitable and reliable dentist/dentistry practice that would actually listen to my concerns (the patient) as to my molar root exposure with severe nerve-related pains that lasted between January 2026 into February 2026. To my surprise, after receiving a first-time patient assessment and dental cleaning, a petite female dentist at this particular practice (did not catch her name) called me out, stating aloud in front of everyone, "You do not go around dentist shopping..." rather than acting professionally in the workforce, having any sort of empathy, actively listening to my concerns (as the patient), and understanding my severe level of pain behind tears. To my utter dismay and shock, I was beyond repulsed. Instead of arguing or talking back to show my frustrations from professional to professional - which I believe was not worth my time or efforts or energy to utter anything at all - I paid my copayment and left. I called for wisdom tooth extraction and made an appointment with them, I asked them if they participate with my insurance (finding a place that participates with my insurance is a challenge on it self) however, they told me over the phone that they did participate with my insurance. They scheduled my appointment and then proceed to tell me that there was a chance for me to get the tooth extracted that same day because their oral surgeon was in-house. I went for my appointment, they did my x-rays and then Dr. Rana comes in, sees my x-rays and tells me that they were going to extract all 3 of my wisdom teeth. I was in a bit of a shock, because I only went to get one extracted, due to my insurance and financial situation. As I was explaining to him that I only could get one tooth extracted, Dr. Rana left the office and didn't even let me finish talking and sent me to talk to their office manager. So, when I sat down with their office manager and declined to get my 3 wisdom teeth extracted again, everything changed. After they wanted me to get my 3 wisdom teeth extracted that same day and I said no. The narrative changed, they started telling me that their oral surgeon was out of network, and that my insurance only covered 50% of out of network procedures. Then all the sudden their oral surgeon was not available until July 6 and if I still wanted to go through with the procedure, I'd have to pay their $650 dollars p/tooth extraction fee up front and then they'd have to see how much my insurance would cover. Even when I called back to get them to email me the x-ray their tone changed. they were not as nice as they were when I first called them. They were so deceiving, and left a bunch of details out, didn't even bother to prescribe me anything for the pain. Basically told me, go some find some place else. Please steer clear and be careful when dealing with them.

Dr. Narang, my…read moreregular dentist, was instrumental in getting this whole implant idea started and worked in partnership with Dr. Simpson in seeing it through. For a little over a year now, I've been going to Dr Simpson to have a synthetic tooth installed in my lower, right jaw. I had heard about such procedures before, but it always seemed rather extreme...until I started having chronic problems with one tooth, which culminated in a serious root infection. My dentist (Dr. Narang) suggested I have that tooth out and replace it with an implant. So I thought, OK, now is a good time to try an implant. My dentist recommended Dr. Simpson (an oral surgeon). Dr. Simpson checked the situation out and determined that I would be a good candidate for an implant. Dr. Simpson clearly explained the steps involved in the process. The process to have an implant is rather lengthy. The first step was to extract the old (original) tooth. That went without issue...and without pain. A good start! In fact, I experienced no pain during the entire process. [Note: the process will be slightly different for each person, depending on their circumstances.] After the tooth was removed, we had to wait some time (months) for the jaw to heal and be ready for the next step. Then the hole in my jaw was filled with bone fragments (don't ask where from), which would meld in with my jawbone in preparation for the next step. More waiting... Then the base for the implant was placed into my jaw. [Screwed in, actually, using what looked like a small ratchet wrench.] More waiting... Then, when everything looked good, I was sent back to my dentist to have the crown put on my new tooth stem and fastened into the base. More waiting... Inspected by both my dentist and Dr. Simpson and given the thumbs-up. My new tooth is now in place and feels right at home. No further problems!
