Dental arts was extremely close five minutes from my house. They put me with a dentist named Sarang Choi, D.M.D. I had such a bad experience! When the dentist checked my teeth she said "oh you have your front two teeth bonded." I never had my teeth bonded and then she did a couple of x-rays and she told me I had a cavity between my front tooth and a second tooth. What an odd spot! She said a lot of odd things and I felt very uncomfortable. I felt like I wanted to get up and walk out, but I didn't. They did not clean my teeth. It was just a check and it was free, which was a good thing cause I wouldn't have want to have paid for what they did. I went back to my regular dentist and they took a full set of x-rays and guess what no cavities.! I honestly don't know what's wrong with this dentist and I would not recommend anybody going to her. I don't think she really knows what she's doing.

I called the next day to reschedule the evaluation and if needed to have a tooth pulled. Dr. Kaufman analyzed the issue and agreed that my two upper wisdom teeth both had to be pulled. I told him that when I rescheduled the appointment, I also scheduled for the extraction, he immediately went to work extracting the tooth. When he saw that there was some discomfort when he tried to inject Novocaine, he right away used some more topical anesthetic to make sure I was comfortable. Once I put my headphones on and had music playing, he went to work without bothering me until he was done. The work he did on my teeth is still perfect. Unfortunately, I left and had 2 other dentists since then and they were not at the same skill or care level as Dr. Lota. My teeth were rotting under my faulty fillings and I was traumatized by painful dental visits. When my newish crown fell off for the 3rd time I had it with my old dentist. Thank God something reminded me about how great Dr. Lota was & angels must have guided me and my mouth back to Chestnut Ridge Dental for a consult on this faulty crown. Well, his super friendly professional staff got me in right away and treated me with kindness and care. I was embarrassed of my teeth at that time and had no dental insurance and they understood and put me at ease. They did not treat me any less because I couldn't produce a Black Card... I had some hefty duty work done and the only pain I had was self induced tension in my muscles expecting pain but experiencing ZERO PAIN and not too much trauma on the wallet either. Thank God. I actually had a team of people working on me and they were all excellent. I am so grateful for the dentists and all the staff that helped me overcome my trauma and bad experience and get my teeth back. I will never go anywhere else again.
