My husband and I visited Abi Beach last week as an excursion off of the Disney Fantasy. An open air taxi bus picked us up at the dock around 9:30 and brought us back around 2:30. It was overcast when we went, so we were not too hot with the water being quite cool and refreshing. We had an enjoyable day! I recommend this beach for someone visiting the island looking for: a secluded, quaint beach, shell finding, relaxing on the beach with a good book, beer, or cocktail. While there were families with young children, the beach was more adult friendly because of the rockiness. Cons: Lots of shells and broken coral were on the shoreline making it difficult to walk along the water in some places, and we struggled to find a sandy inlet into the water to wade or swim. Some catamarans came and docked on the beach which took up some of the open non-rocky swimming area. There were some sea urchins in the water. My husband and I were walking on a flat rocky surface on the most eastern part of the shore when we realized that there were hundreds of tiny black sea urchins, and we were lucky to have not stepped on one! The staff informed us about the urchins, but we were expecting them to be bigger. Also, there were no umbrella chairs which may be an issue on a particularly sunny day, but it didn't bother us. The ride up and down the mountain was a bit steep. Pros: The bar on property was quaint and affordable! The shopping and merchandise selection was excellent, and both my husband and I got T-shirt's. Included with our excursion, we received lunch which was hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, buffalo wings, shrimp, coleslaw, and salad. We were impressed!! While the beach was rocky, we had a great time searching for shells and found some epic keepers!! The beach chairs were in great condition, and there were plenty! The beach was remote, so it didn't have a touristy feel. When we were there, the guests were only ones there for the excursion off of the Fantasy! There were nice working bathrooms and an outdoor shower. The staff have done a great job to rebuild the facilities. I hope this review was helpful! In summary, we enjoyed the vibe of the beach but hated the rocks!

Bring the boat and enjoy a day at Abi!

This is hands down one of the hidden gems on St Thomas. Whether you come by boat or by car makes sure to add this place to your list of places to visit in St Thomas. Their entire staff is terrific!!! Food and drinks are wonderful. Ask for Chad and tell him I sent you!

Abi Beach came highly recommended from some of the locals we talked to. I'm so glad we spent the day here. The beach was beautiful, the staff was fabulous and the food was delicious. Thanks for a great day.

A guy met us right off the shuttle to sell chairs and an umbrella. I think both together was under $20. While you're on the beach, there's people selling drinks, food, jewelry, etc. We were approached by a woman who took our order for one fried snapper, a couple of sides and two beverages (one alcoholic, one mocktail). We paid $99 for this. Make sure you have cash because it's easier to pay for things on the beach. We didn't have enough cash to pay so I had to get the establishments Cash App and pay that way. Or you can go to an ATM on site. Now... we had a great time relaxing on the beach, the view is absolutely beautiful plus the clear water BUT if you want something less crowded, I would say to find another beach. There were water activities like snorkeling, taking photos on a clear kayak, and so on so that was nice. There are also surrounding vendors to get ice cream, food, souvenirs, water, etc. Since we took a shuttle, we made sure we caught the last one of the day back to our resort. All in all, it was a beautiful beach day!

One of the men kept telling us to move so he could put more chairs right where we were and told us we were "in his way." It's a public beach and I should be able to lay on my towel where I'm not in anyone's way and not get this treatment. This behavior also extended to others that didn't pay for chairs. The snorkeling isn't even impressive here. We snorkeled nearly every day for over a week at different beaches and this was bottom of the list. Glad we weren't planning on staying long anyways. I literally enjoyed this place soo little, that I forgot to take pictures of it. Drinks were weak, but the fish we got was tasty and fresh.

We felt 100% safe leaving our backpack on the shore while snorkeling and swimming. Saw plenty of fish! There were food trucks as well as a kayak rental option but we did not partake of either.
