I wanted my son to complete his first year before writing my review to see how the full school year went. This school has been great for us in so many ways. Our son who is now just over 2 has completed his first Stepping Stones year. His two teachers Ms. Celina and Ms. Lisa treat our son and his classmates as if they were their own children. The kids get a lot of care and attention. The classroom environment is a very positive and well organized one. Our son loves going there every single day, which makes life easier for us parents knowing our kid loves it there and is in great hands. The other families who attend there have been very welcoming and friendly. Within just 1 year we have become friends with many of the parents at the school and love hanging out with them outside of school. The staff really goes above and beyond for the children and parents. Whenever we visit the school, everyone's always in a great mood. If you're looking for a school where your kids won't get lost in the mix this is a perfect school. The school is also very safe - everyone there takes school safety very seriously which is so important these days. They even has a summer program for the children which is great. At 2.5 he grabbed a paper towel and cleaned up a spill at home! This was something they taught at school. I was told that,due to the fact that he would not sit still for circle time & follow directions (the routine of the class)-100% & that if he couldn't do so within the next 3 days (signed up for the last two weeks of the school year & paid registration fee for summer program to follow) he could no longer attend. They placed my son on a 1:1 for someone to follow him around as though he was a threat to their preschool. If you are truely familiar with the Montessori Methods.....this is not it! They appear to have the Montessori tools for learning upon viewing the school/classroom, but they do not actual follow the teaching methods of it! If your child does not follow directions 100 % & does not immediately adapt, the Directress Lenore will be very condescending, biased & down right offensively rude-even suggesting have my son evaluated for "special services." The teachers will smile so beautifully in your face just to "kick you & your child in the back." They do not possess character traits of "loving hands" nor the actual "Montessori Methods." These preschoolers today are our future & if you want to build your child's self-esteem within the educational setting-this is NOT the place.

He had a tough time transitioning and eventually we got him to go for a period of 3 months without tears. 6 mos later after winter break, he was horrified going. He screamed, cried and they would call me to speak to him because of how bad it was in hopes to calm him. They would remove him from the class and send him with the director who he had no idea of, in order for the teacher to just continue to teach. It obviously would get bad for any child to go with a stranger. They would then call me to pick him early. I tried to reach out to his teacher multiple times throughout the year in terms of communication and it was extremely poor. The only time I'd get good communication would be if they wanted me to pick him up early ( also stressful for a working parent). In the end, the new director spoke to us and we decided it best to withdraw him. I reached out to teacher to get in touch as to what the heck happened but she wouldn't respond until the director intervened. HORRIBLE SCHOOL and HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Do not send your kid here unless he or she knows how to fully speak and even then, they could care less about your child. I was told to ask his doctor about separation anxiety lol. I'm convinced something happened there because he went to a new school shortly after and was thriving. Unfortunately I won't ever know what since my son couldn't properly speak and the teacher was terrible in terms of communicating.

At TLE, they truly go the extra mile to not only make them feel cared for but fully loved. The staff are all so amazing, kind, attentive, and welcoming. They keep the facility very clean and well-maintained. Their curriculum is really well structured and so engaging for the kids; it truly is a "learning" experience. My daughter started going there when she was 2, and just 6 months later, she has learned SO much. I can tell she trusts her teachers, which is so important, and truly adores them (Thank you Ms. Kelsey, Ms. Fatma & Ms. Michele). She loves all the friends she's made and gets so happy to tell me about her day, show me everything she's learning, and everything she created. What went from originally dreading having to put my daughter in daycare and feeling extremely guilty about it, is now something I feel proud of and lucky that I get to bring her here, and already feel at ease in having my son join just next year. We never intended to stay past Kindergarten, but the quality of instruction, and Montessori methods were a perfect fit for our son. Enrolling him was one of the best things we could have done for him. He is neurodivergent, and the teachers and school staff have worked closely and thoughtfully with us to ensure that his needs are met and that he continues to grow and learn. He has spectacular social skills, and is particularly sensitive to, and encouraging of, students who are younger than him. We are confident that when the time comes for him to make a transition, he will have a solid foundation, both in terms of academics, and socially. They foster leadership skills, public speaking skills, empathy, creativity, inclusion, and an appreciation of the outdoors. I should note that I work in education, and have done so for the past 15+ years.
