Been a registered nurse for 15 years and this is one of the best companies I have worked for they truly care about patience as a nurse. We are constantly overworked understaffed and rushed in corporate America, but with this nonprofit organization, they give me the time to take care of all of my patience. They have a foundation called gestures of grace in this foundation assisted me in helping families face eviction put toilets for safety issues and provide gift cards to families in need of food. This is truly a wonderful company and if you're considering your family for Hospice or palliative care, there is a reason Hospice of Michigan is number one they truly work from the heart.

There is a staff member at the Angela Waterford hospice facility who is horrible. The first night I…read morearrived after-hours, frazzled and heart beating in my chest, she coldly opened the doors for me when the automatic opener didn't work, then coldly marched down the long corridors in silence- obviously annoyed that she had to leave her desk. I have caught her gossiping negatively with other staff members who, though mostly lovely, seem intimidated and unduly influenced by her military style meanness. There is very little family support at the Waterford facility (grief counseling once a month) and adding an unwelcoming, unkind personality to the mix during an already stressful and surreal experience is too much to deal with. There's a reason for the saying ''one bad apple spoils the bunch.'' She seems to be a ringleader... and her energy is a downer.

My husband suffered from Alzheimer's disease for over six years. With the help of his team at Arbor Hospice I was able to keep him at home the entire time. For this, from the bottom of my heart, I will forever be indebted to this amazing company so thank you , thank you, thank you for being there through the good, the bad, and the not so good moments of our journey. We have lots of great memories with the amazing team of people that came through our front door each week. They truly have some of the sweetest kind of staff that come out anytime to see you 24 seven I highly recommend this company For its professionalism urgency when something is needed and great care that they provide. They raise money for hospice kids because Medicare doesn't provide it and they do such a great job to make sure they provide service for everyone even those who can't afford it.

I have worked in several nursing homes, and NEVER have seen the amount of care, attention, and respect done anywhere else but here. What the residents eat, the owners eat (unless special accomodations for diabetics etc. Meaning home cooked, healthy, good food!) They will stop anything to assist and care for a resident. Also, all residents were so happy, felt at home, and truly loved. The home is extremely clean and nothing is out of place. I would put ANY family member here vs any nursing home. Working as a nurse, NO nursing home in the world is as amazing as having a loved one here!
