Had a very degrading experience at Abilene Aero. I try not to focus my energy on the racial undertones I get here in Abilene, Tx but it just keeps happening? I am Spanish. Went in to ask about private pilot license training. I had inquired before in California where I use to live. It was a while ago in 2007 or 2008 during recession. Estimates at that time where around $4,000-$4,500. So, I walk in and lady in front lobby is nice and calls Ronald Blevins (CFI) out. He comes out and does not introduce himself or offers to shack my hand or invite me to sit. He asks what he can do for me with out any welcoming smile. I introduce myself and shack his hand. I then ask about cost for training. He replies $200 something per hour to rent plane and then more for trainer. Then out of no where he replied that they do not offer financing?! Hmm, I continued to explain my previous research and he scoffed and assured me that, that was impossible?! I attempted to assure him that I was sure of the estimates. He mocked me and asked if it was all simulator or some run down vessel?! I offered to wager him but he avoided that. To prove my point to mister bad customer service and racist!
Go to CFI, Sky Walk, or Executive Flyers out of Sacramento, CA. There current cost for Private pilots license is an average of $5,500 so the estimates I gave him where not made up. I guess I did not matter enough to him so he must be well off to turn away customers! Like that is a good enough reason to treat me the way he did. Had I enjoyed the service, I may have paid for private license training in full and completed it within one week. If mister racist wishes to think I am lying again and that I can't afford it, please wager me! You will end up paying for my training. Yes, bank statements proving that the day I talked to you I had enough to pay for your entire cost of $8500 - $10,000. Try me you racist!! No one should give them any business!! read more
