Great USMC Veteran business with great prices. All firearms manufactures that discount military, veterans, and first responders are in a well-marked display case so you dont have to go searching on a list from the manufacture. Moreover, they did my rear sight swap for me for free and I didnt buy anything from the store. Another #carclublife story where I spent the morning sending hot brass flying. I lead my group from Austin to Abilene eventually ending up at Perini Ranch for steaks. Instead of visiting a museum or twiddling our thumbs we showed up to have some fun. One of our members had always wanted to shoot full auto. I called a few weeks out; made arrangements for us to visit. Video is posted; he was grinning ear to ear murdering a paper zombie. That would be 100 rounds in about a minute including reloading. Everyone else brought their own shooting irons. My first time at a range having lived on a ranch my entire life! Staff was friendly and direct on instructions. Hearing and eye protection were provided if you forgot to bring your own. Staffers even made some adjustments to my laser sight on my 9mm S&W Shield without a charge for the help. I spent my 50 rounds, took many pics, and retired to the lobby to present our targets for inspection by other members. We headed south afterwards in search of steaks as rewards. read more

Great place to bring my granddaughters to learn how to shoot and handle firearms. Asked 16yr old granddaughter if she wanted to go to the range for her birthday and texted me back and said " OO YEAH" took her and her 20 yr old sister whose birthday was two days ago today. Went with my father in law to check out a few guns and shoot some rentals. I loved their selection of firearms and suppressors. Got to go hands on with a WW2 grease gun which was a blast! (haha). Best gun shop/range i'd been to in quite some time. I'm looking forward to my next trip out there to go again. read more

This place is awesome and has everything you could possibly need from ammunition to accessories, and even rentals. Great place to go quick sight something in at close range and also to have an enjoyable time and let off some steam. Very friendly staff and members, and always professional and educational. I would highly recommend going to check it out at least one time if you are in Abilene, Tx and have a firearm with you that you want to go test. Or if you just have had an urge to shoot a certain type of firearm because their collection of rentals varies greatly from pistols all the way up into higher powered weapons. I have been in here 6 times and every time the service is horrible in the gun room. I was wanting to buy a Glock 43 which they had about 5. I stared at them for 5 mins with an employee (older tall guy) standing right in front of me and never said hi, how can I help you, or offered to show me anything. Every time I come in this happens. **ATTENTION*** DO NOT do business with Abilene Indoor Gun Range. I run a Non-Profit, 501(c)(3) for wounded Veterans that gets them on outdoor adventures. I went in last week to ship a gun for a Veteran back east for an event he was doing. They charged me over $700.00 to overnight it. Come to find out, they never sent it out and the gun is still sitting in their back room this morning. 5 days the gun sat there! No one bothered to call and let me know it never went out. I found out when the Veteran called me and said it never arrived and the tracking number they gave me didn't work. I spoke to the owner and he informed me that he will not refund me any of the $700.00 they charged me. And even stated that it is not his fault that UPS did not pick it up. They take NO responsibility for anything! read more

Abilene Indoor range is awesome, James and a gentlemen named Mike were very helpful. My grandson and I had a great experience in the range. Just got back from Afghanistan and thought I'd swing through the shop. Still overpriced/high markup. 2 prime examples. Bare bones Sig Sauer 716 Gen1 on the wall priced at $1,999. Easily purchased on Gunbroker brand new for $1,750 - $1,799. S&W 629 Classic priced at $919. Again easily purchased elsewhere for $799. Nice and flashy, best bang for your buck....not so much. read more

These guys are very friendly and willing to help. A shooting range is a shooting range so I'll give them 5 starts for their service. I think it's a 25 yard range. It's a good place to shoot if you don't feel like shooting outdoors. read more

Been shopping here for almost ten years. They have a full range of pistols, rifles, optics, ammo and gear. If you need magazines, uppers or lowers, suppressors, SBR they can get you taken care of. They assisted me with several NFA items and were always courteous when I had a question about the process or the progress during the waiting period. They stay up to date on current events in the "gun community". It's also a nice range to go train at, membership fees are cheap compared to others I have joined. All and all it's a great place to shoot and shop. read more

Eh. I know nothing about guns so we went in to check it out. The older lady at the counter was very nice and informative and showed us around the range. She informed us about CHL classes and how they worked. She then told us we could shoot at the range of we wanted to for $20 a piece. I showed her my law enforcement licenses and she said mine would be $15. She had some guy come over and show us real quick how to use the gun safely snd then he let us pick our targets and head into the range where we got to shoot ten rounds a piece. Are you kidding me? 10 rounds for $20 and it seriously took less than eight minutes. When we come back, I guess the other lady had just got back from lunch. The lady with short hair, I think her name was Allison. She just had a "don't bother me" attitude from the start. Then she had the audacity to question me about my law enforcement license!! I'm a dispatcher but I'm still law enforcement. She still charged me the full $20 even though the older lady told her she had told me it would be $15 because I'm LAW ENFORCEMENT. Anyways $40 for 20 rounds is absurd and we will never be doing that again!! Only reason for three stars is because the older lady was very nice, informative, and attentive. Tye man who gave us the quick gun safety class and went with us into the range was nice as well. We just don't plan on wasting our money like that again. read more

So I read other reviews and fully expected the staff to be disengaged and make me hate this place, but being in Abilene for one night on work my choices were limited. I'm happy to say I wasn't ignored. Front desk staff helped me in a timely manner and fully explained the range and where to go. My shooting experience was very pleasant, it wasn't crowded and everyone was respectful of each other. It leaves me little to blame for my bad aim. After an hour at the range I went into the store for 5-10 minutes and the staff were courteous and even asked me if I had fun at the range which was surprising that they knew I was in there because outside of the front desk help I never saw any of them. They were all talking to a group of customers and everyone seemed well taken care of. I have little experience with the store side but the range was adequate and the staff very helpful. Not a bad place if your a resident or just in town for the night like me. Check'em out! read more

Went to AIGR yesterday interested in purchasing a Glock long slide pistol. The employee behind the counter asked if he could help me and I pointed out 2 pistols that I wanted to look at. He got them out and I looked at both of them. The prices were about on par from what I had researched online before going there. I was ready to purchase one when the employee asked me if I was military or law enforcement. I told him that I wasn't and he replied that he couldn't sell it to me for that reason. He then pulled out another pistol from the shelf below which was nearly identical to the one I was going to purchase and said he could sell me that one. The last one he handed me was $200+ higher than the one I was going to purchase. I've done business here since long before James was the owner and have always enjoyed going there. Took my CHL classes there. I always felt that I was treated fairly there until yesterday. Refusing to sell a pistol to me because I was not law enforcement or military seems to tell me that civilian business is not valued here and to offer me a nearly identical one for over $200 more is probably enough to keep me from ever going back. read more

They do not stand behind their products. Had a problem the first time I shot my new rifle. They said to send it to the manufacturer. Two years and multiple repairs later they say they can only give me 1/3 the cost of the gun. They can't lose money on it. But it's fine if I lose money on a gun that didn't work fine the first time I shot it? FYI, the last time I shot it a round blew up in the chamber. Lucky nobody was hurt. They have no idea what customer service should be. I will not be back and advise you to stay away. read more
