Just completed the class today and it was a great experience. I was dreading this class since lets…read morebe real it's going to be dry and boring for the most part. But the class is very informative and Lance made the class so easy and enjoyable. Lance went over the important parts of the course and focuses on what we should do in situations and broke things down. IF you pay attention to the class you will pass the written exam it is not rocket science and the way Lance puts the information you will learn the right thing to do. So just pay attention to the course. The classroom was only 4 hours with breaks and he provides you water and sodas. Again very very enjoyable time for this class when I was walking in dreading the course. The class does start promptly at 8am so make sure you are on time! Lance then takes us down to the range a bit away from the class and we get ready to shoot, it is an outdoor range so bring sunglasses if you can because it was a bright sunny day. We got loaded up and he instructed us on how many rounds we will fire and how quickly to fire them. AT 3 yards I used my M&P Shield and it was no problem, we fired 20 rounds total at 3 then moved to 7 yards. Again another 20 rounds not too bad with the shield with a shorter barrel. Then we moved to 15 yards and fired 10 rounds I hit the target and mostly in the 7 range at 15 yards. Again all this is happening with Lance giving us instruction on how many rounds to fire and how quickly to fire. Great class very enjoyable if you are going to take a LTC course take it here with Lance you won't be disappointed. Tip for the range bring a full size pistol with a longer barrel just helps with accuracy, doesn't necessarily have to be the gun you are going to be carrying that you are going to test with.

First, based on product alone, JM4 tactical would be a strong 5 star rating. Their leather work is…read moretop notch and their craftsmanship is second to none. I've purchased many holsters through the years, but no others can compare. I plan to buy more from them going forward. During my first ordering process, I would have rated them a strong 5. The whole process was simple and stood out as a great company proving a great product with superior customer service. Recently (last week) I went online to order another holster. I used their tool to verify which size J should order for my revolver. That was easy enough. But, I wanted to make doubly sure before ordering, so I called the store to confirm. The rep told me the same as their website, so I went back online and attempted to complete the order. It seemed to go well, but a few days later the wrong holster showed up at my house. I promptly contacted them for exchange information and waited for the response. Basically, I was instructed to print and complete an exchange form, provide a check for $4.95 for shipping, repackage and sent the holster back. Once they receive and process the return the correct holster will be shipped. Maybe, all of that seems fine to most people. It doesn't bode well with me. I'm still not sure where the error occurred. Was it my mistake or an error in the ordering process online? Regardless, the correct holster should have been offered immediately (and charged to my credit card). They should have offered to then credit my account when the wrong one was processed back at their store. Instead, the rep insinuated the mistake was mine and mine alone. I tried offering some advice including "not charging" the extra $4.95. They did agree to that after I had already shipped the package (including the check and completed form). This really isn't about the chump change; it's about principle. The opportunity existed to make the whole experience smooth in spite of the error. I hope JM4 uses this example to improve their customer service. I definitely support American companies and products made in the USA. I prefer to support small businesses and go out of my way to do so.

The JM4 magnetic IWB holster is the most comfortable holster I've ever owned. I hace boxes of holsters now that are packed away because the all-leather JM4 Tactical holster has become the standard. I own 3 magnetics for 3 different pistols I own/carry. A CCW (LTC) owner could save their self a good deal of time and $$ by buying this product and trying it. In addition, the Relic OWB pancake holster is another great product from JM4. The leather-lined holster greatly reduces rubbed/wear on my pistols. This is my go-to holster for training. It's very comfortable due to the forward kant built into thre product. I also have 3 sizes of The Relic OWB holder and highly recommend it for training and range time. Chad and Shawndalyn Myers have created a truly great array of products, and offer quality training for anyone's CCW/LTC needs.

If you want horrible service and rude poeple come here!!…read more I've been coming to this outdoor range for about 9 months and have visited around 12 times, paying the $25 daily fee each visit because I wanted to support a small business instead of buying a membership. Unfortunately, today was the final straw because of how the range master treated us. From the moment my friend and I arrived, the attitude was rude and aggressive. While we were still paying and adding targets, we were told to "hurry up and pay." Then we were rushed to put targets up because supposedly everyone was waiting on us, even though other shooters were still downrange changing their own targets. After that, I was told to put away my AR-style 9mm pistol because it "wasn't allowed in the pistol lane," even though it is chambered in 9mm like other pistols. Later, while safely shooting a suppressed pistol, I fired an 8-round magazine at a reasonable pace and was approached again, told to leave, and accused of acting like a fool. At that point, I decided to leave and not spend my money there anymore. Even other customers told me the employee was known for having a bad attitude. He apologized afterward, but by then the experience was already ruined. I respect range safety and rules, but customers should also be treated with professionalism and respect. Sadly, I won't be returning after I recommend this range to many people that are working in town

This range is fine. I feel like fine is the best way I could describe it. Targets are ok. Rifle…read morerange is decent. I have been an RSO for previous ranges and there is a way to keep ranges safe, but.... If you automatically assume everyone coming to your range is going to kill someone, regardless of their experience, you're not practicing safe practices, you are pushing away a customer base. The closest outdoor range that allow "quick draws" and "rapid fire" (literally shooting two rounds within 1 sec of each other as I was corrected by an RSO for doing) is hours away. I recommend they TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS!!! The people of Abilene want an outdoor pistol range for USPSA and other competitions. Please expand your pistol range and lean into this. Bring competitive shooting to this area and you will reap the rewards. I want this range to be good. But everyone I talk to says "oh that's the Fud range, I don't go there". They would rather drive hours away than come to your range. Hope that changes. Good luck y'all!
